Aishwarya has a `super-busy` shoot schedule ahead

Mumbai, March 22: Aishwarya Rai sure has a crowded year ahead, having signed movies with filmmakers Vishal Bhardwaj, Rituparno Ghosh, Abhinay Deo and Vipul Shah. And the actress says each of these films is equally challenging and "special" to her.

The former Miss World has something unique to say about each movie and filmmaker.

"Ritu-da and I have agreed to work together again after `Chokher Bali` and `Raincoat` in Bengali and Hindi respectively. Our next film together is a bilingual. And very challenging," said Aishwarya.

"As for Abhinay Deo`s film it`s got me and Abhishek (Bachchan) in it. But it covers a territory very different from what audiences have seen in `Guru`, `Dhoom 2` and `Sarkar Raj`. Abhinay`s film is also very different from Mani Ratnam`s `Raavan`. It`s a special challenge to work with my husband because we`ve to make sure we don`t repeat ourselves," the Bachchan daughter-in-law added.

The `super-busy` star is also looking forward to working with Akshay Kumar after a long time in Vipul Shah`s next movie.

"It`s something that Vipul, Akshay and I haven`t done before. The last time Akshay and I came together in `Khakee` we played almost antagonists. This time we`ll hopefully play a more compatible couple," Aishwarya laughed.

So why the sudden flurry of activity this year?

"These are projects with directors whom I`ve wanted to work with for a long time. To say no to them when we both are so keen to work with one another seems inappropriate," she explained.

A project audiences are awaiting is the one where Aishwarya teams up with filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj for the first time.

"Vishal and I have wanted to work together ever since he was the music composer on a project that got shelved. We had promised one another that I`d star in his film whenever he turned director."

Right after his directorial debut with children`s film "Makdee", Vishal had offered Aishwarya a film called "Timbuctoo", but it got shelved.

"I was very impressed by Vishal`s work. But he insisted that we`ll work together only when he finds the absolutely right project. That has finally happened. Vishal has bounced the script off me. And we both feel this is the right project for us to come together."

The project will go into production by the year-end.

Abhi never mess with Ash

Junior Bachchan has a high regard for his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Though media cooked many conflicting stories of them, on the show Oye It's Friday, hosted by Farhan Akhtar, Abhishek Bachchan proved all those stories wrong and revealed the secret of their successful relationship. He never mess with Ash as they understand each other well and the best part of Ash is that she cares and loves Abhi’s parents more than him.

What makes Ash-Abhi’s relationship more beautiful and grip is that Abhi never ever mess with Ash and also does not feel insulted on bowing before his wife if he does any wrong. He said, “I am not the kind of person who thinks you lose face when you apologize.” Bachchan confessed that he has grown up with women - his mother, an elder sister and three cousins and therefore understands the strength and importance of women. He feels that women are much superior to men.

He said, “We men are nothing. So don't ever mess with women. They have a fantastic ability to sulk. They remember everything. So there's no point fighting with them because you will never win. And you know what's worse? Even when you fight, at the end of the day you want to sleep peacefully. You certainly don't want to end up on the couch. Always remember that the woman holds the keys to the house!"

Abhi praises Ash in the following words, "Aishwarya isn't hoity-toity at all. She's a very normal lady. Very loving. I really love the way that she takes care of my parents. That means a lot to me. I am very particular about my parents. I care for them, as any son would. You are always tense about your wife's relationship with your parents. But in our case, my wife's best friend is my mother. She calls my parents more than I do. She's really become part of the family. And to top it all, she manages to look beautiful even when you get up in the morning. Now that's fantastic. Ash and I get along very well. She's like my best friend."

When Ash came across her ex lover

Undoubtedly, when ex lovers meet, fireworks can be heard from distant and if the separated couples are prominent personalities like the Bachchan bahu, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Vivek Oberoi, bombardment are sure to take place. Similar kind of jhatkas has been experienced when Ash came across her ex lover Vivek Oberoi at the Filmfare Awards night.

Ash encountered with Vivek when he was giving bites to the media. In order to avoid Vivek, Ash who was accompanied by hubby Abhishek Bachchan did not step out of their car and both were seen chatting inside the car creating an impression as if she had not seen him.

Though Vivek was busy with his activities, he was aware of the fact that Ash was trying to avoid him. As if he was ignorant of the entire affair, Vivek walked in. Soon after he entered, Ash and Abhi went inside. Vivek did not stay there for long and left the venue soon.

Ash tries to pretend smart but she does not know that there are people smarter than her that follows their every movement.

Aishwarya angry with Priyanka

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is bit upset with Priyanka Chopra when she in her winning speech regarded Ash as beautiful but did not mention anything about her acting talent. Priyanka, the winner of the Filmfare best actress award for Fashion said that she was very happy to be nominated (Fashion, Dostana) among the likes of the beautiful Aishwarya Rai (Jodhaa Akbar) and the talented Kajol (U, Me Aur Hum).

Priyanka’s statement did not go well with Ash who is a winner of many national and international awards and sounds little disturbed. An actor who was present at the function said, on condition of anonymity, "Priyanka should have chosen her words carefully. How can Priyanka sideline Aishwarya's acting abilities?"

"Aishwarya rarely loses her cool. But this time, she did. She is mighty upset with Priyanka," added our source.

Priyanka is flying high these days with so many hits to her credit and may be it is her ego that spoke out during the event.

Aishwarya turns singer

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will soon follow the foot-step of her father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan and husband Abhishek Bachchan and croon for her film. Buzz is that she had earlier lend her voice for Mani Ratnam’s Ravan and now she will again sing for music composer duo Vishal-Shekhar.

Vishal and Shekhar made Ash sing a stanza and shocked to hear her remarkable voice and then and there they decided to make her sing. Shekhar said, “You won’t believe what an amazing voice Ash has! We’ve talked her into singing a song for us and we’re going to record it very soon"

The composer had not yet decided what to do with Ash’s piece of voice. They are still in dilemma whether to include it in a movie or incorporate in a album. When asked if they are planning a film, they promptly replied, “No, no. Right now, we’re only recording it, before Ash changes her mind! We’ll see what to do with it in the future".

The music composer duo earlier made Abhishek holds the mike for the song ‘Right Here Right Now’ for ‘Bluffmaster’ and has now gone on to record Ash’s new crooning act.

Aishwarya turns villain

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has stolen all the limelight as she walked the red carpet of Pink Panther 2 in pink gown in Spain. It is reported that though brief, her role in the movie is very crucial and interesting. She is the real villain of the flick whom the entire investigation department looks for. She becomes one among them and moves around with the team in hunt of the thief who has stolen the Pink Panther diamond.

Aishwarya plays the role of Sonia Solandres, a criminology expert, in the film. Being one with them throughout, she keeps on throwing dust in their eyes. But in the end, Inspector Clouseau discover that Sonia, played by Ash, is the real culprit and she is not a criminology expert. “The climax has a fight scene where Ash even kicks some butt and tries to flee. But eventually, she gets caught and is put behind bars,” says the source.

Ash recently moved along with her co-star Steve Martin around the globe to promote the film.

Ash, Abhishek have no plans for child

Though they were married for more than two years now, Bollywood's sizzling couple Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan have no plans to extend his family at the moment as they are busy with their commitments. They have signed many projects and both focused on their individual career. When Bachchan junior was asked when we can hear the good news from them, he slyly replied, “We feel that a child is God’s gift and frankly have not planned about having a child as of now because both of us are quiet busy with work. As and when we do have a child, what is of primary importance is that we should have a healthy child and it is immaterial whether we have a son or a daughter”.

In the past few films, Abhishek paired with his wife and in some of his future projects too he has Ash as his on-screen partner. He is not in the favor of having Ash in all his films but if the film and the director demands so, he will be more than happy to cast opposite her but there is no any hard and fast rule to have Ash only. “ It is petty to think that I maneuver to have Ash in every film of mine. I do not decide who should be cast in a film as my leading lady. I do not insist that Ash should be my leading lady. I did two films last year after marriage and Ash was not there in them at all. Ash was not there in Delhi 6 with me. Mani wanted her in his film which has a working title like Ravana and Abhinav Deo was keen that she should be a part of his film”, said Abhishek.

Abhi's Drona and Delhi 6 both did not fare well at the box office in spite of putting lots of hard work. Next he is looking forward to Balki’s Pa in which he has been cast with his dad.

She has again been able to steal the limelight by casting in Pink Panther 2 and by moving across the world with Hollywood stars, Steve Martin and Jean Reno. Recently, Ash attended the premiere of Pink Panther 2 with her family and looked gorgeous as she walked the red carpet in pink gown.

Dadaji (Harivansh Rai Bachchan) got it first, Pa got it twice, then Ma (Jaya Bachchan) and now me ... the award is very special to the family and I'm humbled to receive such high honour from the country."
