Shruti Haasan's debut in LUCK is certainly an eagerly awaited one. The young rock star and daughter of the veteran Kamal Haasan is looking stunning and remarkably confident in the promos while her Aazma Luck number is steadily on its ascent.

In fact, Shruti landed herself this multi-starrer thanks to a suggestion by Imran Khan to director Soham Shah.

Confirms Imran, "Shruti and I have known each other since we were 10 or 12. We're friends and get on very well. Soham was keen to cast a new girl and after he gave me a description of what he was looking for, I suggested Shruti. She had the attitude, style and body language that was needed of the character. She was game and flew down from Chennai for an audition. Soham loved her screen test and confirmed her."

Imran isn't sparing in his praise for his good friend. "While my favourite song in LUCK is Khuda Ya Veh, Shruti's rendition of Aazma Luck is fantastic! It's proper rock!"

LUCK releases worldwide on July 24th by Indian Films - Studio 18.

Mumbai, March 26: From endorsement deals, swishy roles to now sequels, Genelia D’Souza has some sweet angel showering luck at her. The lissome beauty, who made the nation fall in love with ‘Aditi’, the girl-next-door in ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’, is all set to carry forward her cute girl act in the sequel to the blockbuster flick.

Reportedly, Abbas Tyrewala is following the teen movie with a matured sequel. And the director is sticking to his magic formula and pair for the sequel too.

Not taking any chances, the director has cast Imran and Genelia in the lead roles. And sources tell us that the movie will look at their life post marriage.

Talking about the film, Abbas Tyrewala said, “It starts with Jai (Imran Khan) and Aditi (Genelia D’Souza) having problems in their marriage. They are on the verge of a divorce after Jai ends up drunk and having a one-night-stand.”

Obviously excited at the offer, Genelia said, “A film like ‘Jaane Tu’ doesn’t happen every day. It fell into my lap by chance. All of us in ‘Jaane Tu’ have got busy. Everyone went their way. I’ve been working round the clock on my films and endorsements. But whenever I meet Abbas or Imran, we feel the same warmth that we felt during the making of the film. It would be fun for the whole team to be reunited.”

Even though the other members of her ‘fundu’ gang in the film have not been lucky to get flicks, Genelia is chasing her superstar dreams with alacrity.

Ask her as to what’s next and pat comes the reply from the babe. “I haven’t been sitting at home waiting for the sequel to happen. Now, I have almost finished two other films: ‘Its My Life’ with Harman Baweja and ‘Life Partner’ opposite Fardeen Khan. Also, I’ve just begun shooting for David Dhawan’s ‘Hook Ya Crook’ where I play a lawyer, which is the only prominent female character in the film”, she said.

With her stars shining bright, this bubbly babe is sure to go places.

Imran steals Kareena's heart

http://img1.chakpak.com/se_images/416928_-1_564_none/imran-khan-wallpaper.jpg

In real, Kareena Kapoor may be dating Saif Ali Khan but at present the one who is keeping the actress restless is the new Khan of Bollywood who is young and handsome and just stepped into the glamour industry. Interestingly, our Bebo is smitten by the 'Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na' actor, Imran Khan.

It was during the Filmfare Awards night when Kareena felt for Imran. As Imran was hosting the show with Ranbir Kapoor, Bebo was not able to keep her eyes away from him. At that very star-studded night, Imran stole Kareena’s heart. Bebo was so much impressed with Imran’s personality and attitude that the lady expressed her desire to play Imran’s ladylove.

Apparently, Bebo’s wish has been heard by director Sanjay Gadhvi of 'Dhoom'. Buzz is that he is keen to cast Kareena and Imran in his next film. Though they have not yet signed the venture, it is learnt that Kareena is quite excited on sharing screen space with the young and charming.

Mumbai, March 07: Chocolate boy Imran Khan has become the first man ever to be a part of the controversial play ‘Vagina Monologues’. While most men don’t seem to be too comfortable with the mere mention of V-word, Imran is all geared up to come to terms with the intricacies associated with the female organ for a charity show.

According to reports, the actor will read out a part of the script called ‘My Short Skirt’, read by Marisa Tomei and Mallika Sherawat earlier. “Well, I will read it in third person and a girl will enact it on stage for me. Director Mahabanoo Mody-Kotwal called up Eve Ensler, the writer of the play, and asked her how she felt about adapting the script to include a male actor. If I don’t make a fool of myself, I hope even men will be drawn into the theatre,” Imran told a news daily.

However, Imran confesses that he is nervous about the performance and says, “My friend Sonali Sachdev, who has been part of the cast, asked me if I could do a reading. I have no experience in theatre and wanted to perform for a live audience. Also, it’s a charity show for a battered women’s home. Haseena, the victim of the acid attack, will be there as well. So we are trying to raise funds and create awareness for these women.”

We believe that Imran is sure going to be a great inspiration for other actors after his bold and innovative theatre attempt for a good cause.
