Priyanka Chopra witnessed Ranbir-Katrina’s blossoming love

There was one person in the film industry, who knew all along that Ranbir and Katrina are love-birds. She was none other than Priyanka Chopra, who incidentally came across Katrina Kaif, when she was discreetly meeting Ranbir in the US. According to a news daily, Katrina Kaif had frequently flown to the US to meet Ranbir where he was shooting for Sajid Nadiadwala`s ‘Anjaana Anjaani’ with Priyanka Chopra.

During her visits to her beau, Katrina always made sure that she stayed away from the set of Ranbir’s film, and no-one spotted her there. She had an alibi that she was in UK with her family for the holidays but this was not the reality as she would frequently fly from UK to the US. However, Priyanka Chopra spoiled the plans by running into her and she had to be taken into confidence.

Although Katrina`s spokesperson refuted the news calling it ‘ridiculous’ and ‘sheer rubbish’ but it’s now more than confirmed that Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina are in love and it was one of the major reasons for the actor’s break-up with Deepika Padukone. It all began during the shoot of ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’, continued during ‘Raajneeti’ and is still growing strong.

Sources reveal that Katrina and Ranbir visit each other’s house often but they are not revealing their relationship. Well, we are waiting for the official announcement.

Priyanka Chopra wants to work Abhishek

Priyanka Chopra is one levelheaded actress who doesn’t let her emotions hamper her professional decisions. The actress, who after a tiff with Abhishek Bahchcan had been snubbing the hunk, has now decided to let bygones be bygones and is vying to sign a film with him. Hoping to bag a hit this year, the actress has gone all out to make peace with Abhishek with whom she shares remarkable onscreen chemistry.
Going back one recalls that the two had fallen apart during an award function wherein both had wanted to dance on the same number. Unwilling to budge, it was Abhishek who had won the trivial battle. Ever since the two had been seen giving a cold snub to one another.

However Priyanka has now decided to take the high road. The actress is looking forward to share screen space with the him and has sent feels to director Rohan Sippy to consider her in his next film opposite Abhishek.

Confirming the news a source told a daily; “Priyanka has sent feelers to Rohan and is keen to work on this project. She has heard the gist of the script and she liked it. Moreover, Abhishek Bachchan’s presence has attracted her to the film. She finds him fabulous as an actor and loves their on-screen pairing.”

Well with a beauty like Priyanka vying to work with him, Abhishek sure has reasons to smile.

Priyanka's heart beats for Shahrukh

Priyanka Chopra may have huge fan following but when it comes to her choice, she has got only one name in her lips and he is the favorite of all, Shahrukh Khan. Priyanka has been a great admirer of Shahrukh Khan since the age of six.

Says Priyanka, ''I have always been and will always be a fan of Shah Rukh Khan. I admire a lot of people but true blue, going weak in the knees type of fan I am only of SRK!''

In the long tenure of her career, Piggy Chops has worked with many Bollywood actors but her choice always been Shahrukh. Though she paired with him for the first time in ‘Don’, she could not forget her first meeting with the actor.

''I have been a huge fan of Shah Rukh Khan since I was six. During Miss India 2000, he was one of the judges who asked me a question. I got a chance to meet him backstage and managed to say, ''Hello.'' When he heard that I sing, he asked me to do so. I still don't remember what I sang. I will always admire Shah Rukh.''

Shahid and Priyanka are lovers

Now it is clear that Shahid Kapur and Priyanka Chopra are in love. The duo has stopped playing the hide and seek game and they about to make their love official. In the presence of several guests at Karim Morani's 50th birthday party (held at his Juhu bungalow), Shahid and Priyanka stick together throughout and at the end of the party, Shahid rode in Priyanka’s white Mercedes while his car followed them.

A guest at the party quips, "Priyanka walked in with a friend a bit after midnight while Shahid came in after 1 am. But during the entire time Priyanka was there, Shahid kept calling and talking to her throughout till he reached. After which, they both circulated a bit and quickly withdrew to a secluded corner where they remained, talking in hushed tones, almost till the time they had to leave around 5 am. When it was time for them to leave, Priyanka, Shahid and Priyanka's friend left together in Priyanka's white Mercedes (MH-02 BG 6345) while Shahid's driver followed behind with his silver Mercedes (MH-02 AQ 4244). While Priyanka is quite happy to show the world that she's in love with Shahid, apparently, he's not in a hurry to do it. He was hiding his face when the reporters photos were trying to take pictures."

With every passing day, the love of the duo is blossoming. Their neighbor informed that very often they go out for a walk, holding hand in hand at the mid-night when the ground is empty.

‘I feel immortalized’, Priyanka chopra

As for the Ferragamo experience, I was the first Indian there after Indira Devi, the Maharani of Cooch Behar. I feel immortalized, almost!”

2008 was a wonderful year for Priyanka and she is having more promising year ahead with films like Vishal Bharadwaj ‘Kaminay’ with Shahid Kapur and Ashutosh Gowariker’s ‘What’s your Rashee’ opposite Harman Baweja in which she dons 12 roles.

Recently, while shooting for Ashutosh Gowarikar's What's Your Raashee, Priyanka spent her time with her cousins in Chicago.

Sighs Priyanka, "It was more masti than work. We chose this time to shoot in Chicago because the script needed snow. And we got it in plenty. I loooooove the snow. And since I've a lot of family in America, I called them over to Chicago. It was more fun than work really."

Priyanka loves shooting in the US. "I love going to America. I've family there. Earlier during Dostana, I had a ball in Philadelphia. Now in Chicago around 14-15 people including my Naani, my aunts and my cousins would be on the sets to visit me. And luckily there was very little work for me. It was Hurman's character which is from Chicago."

Priyanka was glad to have this chance to unwind. "I let Hurman do all the slogging. Raashee is a very taxing film for me. This kind of role has never been done. For the first time in my career I plan to take a two-week holiday after What's Your Raashee."

Aishwarya angry with Priyanka

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is bit upset with Priyanka Chopra when she in her winning speech regarded Ash as beautiful but did not mention anything about her acting talent. Priyanka, the winner of the Filmfare best actress award for Fashion said that she was very happy to be nominated (Fashion, Dostana) among the likes of the beautiful Aishwarya Rai (Jodhaa Akbar) and the talented Kajol (U, Me Aur Hum).

Priyanka’s statement did not go well with Ash who is a winner of many national and international awards and sounds little disturbed. An actor who was present at the function said, on condition of anonymity, "Priyanka should have chosen her words carefully. How can Priyanka sideline Aishwarya's acting abilities?"

"Aishwarya rarely loses her cool. But this time, she did. She is mighty upset with Priyanka," added our source.

Priyanka is flying high these days with so many hits to her credit and may be it is her ego that spoke out during the event.

Abhishek annoys Priyanka

Abhishek Bachchan destroys Priyanka Chopra’s mood. The duo that used to share a good rapport is no more on talking terms. A rift has been created between them when Abhi adhered to perform on the same dance number at the Filmfare Awards which Priyanka Chopra had zeroed much before him.

According to eyewitness, both had a bitter exchange of words and later furious Piggy Chops opted out of the track. A source has been quoted as saying, "Priyanka selected the track first. Later, Abhishek also wanted the same song. As he was performing after a long time, he wanted to get jiggy on this particular track."

Since Priyanka is a hot sensation of Bollywood, the Filmfare approached her to perform during the event and they gave her some choices of songs which unfortunately collided with Abhishek’s choice and unable to convince Abhi, Priyanka stepped back.

Hrithik, Priyanka bag Filmfare award

Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra’s role in their respective film 'Jodhaa Akbar' and 'Fashion' has been highly acclaimed. They bagged the best actor and best actress award at the 54th Filmfare Awards. In a glittering night, this popular award was handed over to them. While Asin Thottumkal walked away with the Best Female Debutante for Ghajini and the Best Male Debutante award was shared by Farhan Aktar for 'Rock On' and Imran Khan for 'Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na'.

'Jodhaa Akbar' shined bright at the event. The film by Ashutosh Gowariker won five awards including Best Film, Best Director (Ashutosh Gowariker) and Best Lyrics (Javed Akhtar).

Oscar return AR Rahman received Best Music Director award for 'Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na' and Best Background Score for 'Jodhaa Akbar'.

Sukhwinder Singh won the Best Male Playback Singer award for Haule Haule (Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi) while Shreya Ghosal awarded with Best Female Playback Singer for Teri Ore (Singh is Kinng).

Best critics’ award went to the film Mumbai Meri Jaan.

Priyanka sans bikinis and minis

Ravishing Priyanka Chopra likes experimenting on her roles and looks. After exposing her well toned body in bikinis and minis in Dostana and Fashion, the lady is all set to shed off her glamorous look and go de-glam. In her upcoming flick Kaminay, Piggy Chops will appear as simple as she could.

"In terms of look, it's definitely not glamorous. In fact, you don't really see me wearing too much make up in the film," Priyanka said. Speaking about her character in the film, Priyanka says, "Sweety is a very real character. She is a college-going girl in her early 20s and we have tried to keep her extremely believable”. "We tried to ensure that the look fits the characterization," she adds.

On asking, did she worry about going de-glamorous in Kaminay, the lady quips, "Not at all. It was a conscious decision. I have always striven to do different things in each and every film of mine, be it with the character or the look. That's visible in films like Don, Love Story 2050, Fashion and Dostana. In continuation of that, Kaminay and What's Your Rashee (by Ashutosh Gowariker) will see me essaying different characters, far removed from what I have ever played. I am very excited about both!"

Priyanka accepts Shahid’s proposal

If sources are to be believed a new online love story is brewing between Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapur. The duo is romancing on internet, created facebook account and with nicknames, they are addressing one another. Shahid and Priyanka are so much addicted to the site that whenever they get time, they flirts exchanging funny messages. In fact, they now communicate more via net than through phone. But things took a reverse turn when their account got leak in media. Shahid who used to refer Priyanka with the name Sir Pranks suggested her to change her name to Lady Paradox as it is disclosed to the world and Priyanka accepted his proposal and changed her name to a new one.

Both are acting in Vishal Bharadwaj's Kaminay and are using internet to know about the reactions of the audience to their upcoming release. "They not only write on each other's walls, but also send personal emails that are inaccessible to others."

Interestingly, Priyanka now does not have ex-beau Harman Baweja’s name on her friend’s list and she too disappeared from Harman’s friends list.

Priyanka in love with a Scottish actor

Though Priyanka Chopra is frequently making news for her alleged relationship with her Kaminay co-star Shahid Kapur, the glamorous lass is hitting the headlines once again for her alliance with not Indian but Scottish actor Gerald Buttler. Priyanka Chopra came in contact with Gerald Buttler at the Atlantis launch in Dubai and from that time, they remained in touch secretly without knowing the world.

But their hypothetical relationship came into forefront when she attended Shahrukh’s party in Dubai with Gerald, after the inauguration of the luxury resort. The truth of the fact is yet to be confirmed but Priyanka's official spokesperson hinted that something serious has been cooking between Priyanka and Gerard. She has been quoted as saying, "Priyanka and Gerard hit it off really well in Dubai and have maintained their friendship ever since."

The gossip corner further heated up when Piggy Chops and Gerald was spotted having lunch in Chicago, where she was shooting for Ashutosh Gowariker's ‘What's Your Rashee?'

Priyanka's father is sick

Though Priyanka Chopra is delivering hit after hit and has ample big budget films in her kitty, she is not resting in solace and enjoying her success as her father Dr Ashok Chopra is not keeping in good health for quite sometime. After he was diagnosed with a tumor in his liver way back in 2005, one after another complications tortured him. Dr Chopra's ill-health has been a great concern for the family members. Concerned about father's ill-health, Priyanka Chopra for last few days making a round of hospital.

A close friend of Priyanka revealed, "Last week, Priyanka came from an outdoor shoot and realized that her father was not in his usual element. She told him to go to a doctor for a through check-up. The doctors told Priyanka's father that he has an abscess and pus formation between his liver and the diaphragm. Dr Chopra had to be operated."

"Priyanka wanted to postpone going to the US for the shoot of Ashutosh Gowariker's What's Your Rashee? as she was quite worried about her father's health. However, after the operation, Dr Ashok was feeling much better and she could leave for the US on time. Priyanka did want to stay back and join the unit of What's Your Rashee? after a few days, but thankfully that kind of a situation did not arise," added the source.

As the operation has been carried out successfully and Dr Chopra is back home, the family members heave a sigh of relief.

"Priyanka looks after me very well. She was with me in the hospital throughout. She is worried about me. She knows her priorities and is a family-oriented girl," said the proud father.

Priyanka dances as 12 different characters for a song in What's Your Raashee?

By now it's a known fact that in Ashutosh Gowarikar's What's Your Raashee?, Priyanka Chopra plays 12 different characters, each representing a difference star-sign from the horoscope. This makes Priyanka the only actress in the world to play so many characters. The closest that we come to such a massive bodycount for one actor is Sanjeev Kumar in Naya Din Nayi Raat. He played nine different characters.

But what ensued on the sets of Raashee all of last week would count as a unique occurrence in the history of world cinema.

Under the choreographic supervision of Raju Khan, Priyanka performed to a song that required her to bring all the 12 characters together in all their varying moods and personalities.

Though Priyanka isn't allowed to speak about it, it was the toughest musical challenge of any actor's career, requiring her to swing from mood to mood at the drop of a beat.

Apparently, Priyanka wasn't allowed breaks between shots, as this would have broken the rhythm of the 12 characters as captured in one line of vision.

"Priyanka shot with Raju Khan (who is Saroj Khan's son) for 22 hours at a stretch. At times she couldn't sit or take a breather for hours at a stretch. It was very important to get the continuity right. Otherwise the character's graph would've become lopsided. To dance and emote to a song in 12 different looks and makeup all at once is not an easy thing."

And to think Kareena Kapoor could be doing the song. It's confirmed. The outspoken Kareena says she was indeed supposed to do What's Your Raashee? "Yes it was offered to me and Shahid Kapoor. I'd have loved to do another film with Shahid. But the dates were clashing with Karan's film that Rensil d'Silva is directing with me and Saif."

Kareena also clarifies that her opting out of Raashee had nothing to do with her split with Shahid. "We're professionals, all of us. Even if I'm working in a film with Saif in place of a film with Shahid we're thorough professionals here in Philadelphia. There's no time to party or go out or do any of the fun things. We've been shooting in a tube station in below-freezing temperature and we need to cover as much work as possible in limited time."

Ironically, What's Your Raashee? was offered to Kareena and Shahid just after they split. Now another couple that has broken up is doing the film. But according to onlookers Priyanka and Hurman S Baweja are so compatible off and on screen that it's impossible to tell the status of their personal equation.

"They're laughing and joking on the sets even when they aren't facing the camera. In fact Hurman was there to support her when she did the tough 12-avatar dance act," says a source.

Herman and priyanka again meet on whats your rashee

Harman and Priyanka's love relationship was short-lived. Before it could flourish and bloom, it met with its end. The break-up neither affect Priyanka nor Harman and they moved on in life. Though at first Harman was little heartbreak with the separation, he finally accepted the decision of destiny and remained stable. When he again happened to meet Priyanka on the set of Ashutosh Gowariker What's your Rashee? he remained calm and reacted casually.

When Harman was asked how comfortable he is on working with Priyanka again after the split-up, he answered, "Whether we were together or not, I don't think our work can ever get affected. We're thorough profess- ionals about this. We've been great friends and we still are."

In fact our source informs that though they are no more together, they are quite normal on the set. Harman is not at all feeling awkward working with his ex lady and finds Priyanka a wonderful co-star. "It was fabulous working with her earlier. It's fabulous now. I don't think personal relationships should affect work", he concludes.

Priyanka Keep her Promise to Herman

Though Priyanka Chopra and Harman Baweja are no longer lovers, they stick to remain friends forever. So when Harman called up Priyanka and invited her for his Victory premiere, Priyanka flew all the way from Jodhpur and attended her ex beau's premiere. She promised Harman and kept her promise by arriving on time. It was a low-key affair with directors and producers like Anees Bazmee, Sanjay Kapoor and Ashutosh Gowarikar.

Says a source close to Harman, "Though Harman and Priyanka broke off last year, they have remained cordial to each other. They are co-stars in Ashutosh Gowariker's What's Your Raashee? and off the sets too, they have maintained their friendliness.

Victory is a special film for Harman (it is his second release) so he wanted Priyanka to be there during his important moments."

After attending Harman’s big day, Piggy Chops will again fly back to Jodhpur. Priyanka is a true professional and by attending Victory premiere, she has showed her professionalism.

If she declares from rooftops that she is Shah Rukh Khan's biggest fan then it is for a reason. The man just floors his ladies, without trying to be charming.

What he did for Priyanka Chopra in Billu Barber would certify as pure magnanimity and generosity, both as a considerate co-star and producer.

Shah Rukh decided to give away a large portion of his duet in Billu Barber to Priyanka. Says the film's music composer Pritam Chakraborty, ''Shah Rukh took very close interest in each one of the songs. He isn't a musician. But he has an instinctive ear for music. It takes him just a few seconds to approve or cut down a track."

With the songs meant for Kareena Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, Pritam faced no problems. "Shah Rukh loved his songs with Kareena ('Marjani') and Deepika ('Love Mera Hit Hit'). They were straightforward dance songs with shared grooves between Shah Rukh and the two actress."

The Priyanka song needed special treatment. And Shah Rukh made Pritam re-work and re-record the song. Divulges Pritam, "Shah Rukh's song with Priyanka 'Khudaya Khair' is not an item song. It's a love ballad that the pair playing Bollywood superstars, emote to in front of the camera. Being a love song Shah Rukh felt there wasn't enough of the female presence in the vocals. He made me re-record the song with more for the female vocalist (Dominique) to do since he wanted Priyanka to have an equal number of lines."

Irrfan Khan and Lara Dutta who play a rustic couple will later be seen enacting the same Shah Rukh-Priyanka ballad exactly the way the village couple had seen the stars do the song.

From sharing Akshay Kumar on screen in Andaaz to sharing the same love song, the Priyanka-Lara Dutta rivalry sure has come a long way.

Laughs Pritam, "It was entirely Shah Rukh's idea to give Priyanka more lines in the song. He's a very generous entertainer. If you see him on screen he never tries to steal the limelight from his heroines. Even 'Khaike Paan Banaras Wala' had a lot of Priyanka in Don although it was entirely Shah Rukh's song."

When told about Shah Rukh's gesture, Priyanka stays silent for a while. She then sighs and says, "What do I say? Now do you know why he's my favourite?"
