http://www.indiangossips.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/Aamir-Khan.jpg

Celebrating his birthday on a rather low note, Mr. Perfectionist of Bollywood, Aamir Khan revealed his line of work for the year ahead. The versatile actor has made up his mind to promote regional cinema, which he thinks has a lot of potential both in terms of art and commerce.

Aamir stated that he is now keen to promote regional cinema and is willing to produce regional films hereon. “I would love to produce regional language cinema including Marathi,” said the actor who shared that this year he is “seriously working on to perfect his Marathi and Urdu diction.”

As we already know Aamir will not be indulging much on the acting side, however he’ll be at the helm of some important projects of Bollywood. With his usual charismatic smile and the focus towards production of films, the actor said, “This year I want to spend my time with my family members and will concentrate on my banner`s three under-production films — Peepli Live, Dhobi Ghat and Delhi Belly.”

The film industry sure has reasons to celebrate now, considering Aamir Khan diversifying with his plethora of ideas!

shahrukh and aamir khan

http://www.rainbowskill.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/shahrukh_khan.jpg

The ageless Aamir Khan, who turned 45 on Sunday, has denied any rivalry with Bollywood’s King Khan. SRK and Aamir, who have been the celluloid arch rivals for really long now, seem to be bonding well these days as not just Aamir, Shah Rukh too has hinted on their off-screen friendship.

Like always, the politically correct Aamir recently said that there was never any war of supremacy so there is no question of starting or stopping any debate.

On the other hand, SRK clarified, “We’re friends. At least, I’d like to think we are. We both have a sense of humour. At least, I do. I’d like to think all our exchanges are in good humour. Quite honestly, I’ve no desire to look at what he or anyone else is doing. I never look at my own Box-Office figures. Why would I look at others’ collections?”

Aamir Khan’s latest offering ‘3 Idiots’ was a mega blockbuster, and at the same time Shah Rukh’s ‘My Name Is Khan’ too went on to become a hit worldwide. Well, so let’s just call Aamir-SRK’s famous rivalry a media-tale, as the actors wish us all to believe!

Not SRK but Big B is the real ‘King’ for Aamir

http://bollywood.celebden.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/shahrukh-khan_7.Jpg

The never ending fight of Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan has taken another avatar. Aamir, after denying following success and not believing in the number game tagged Amitabh Bachchan as the real 'King' of Bollywood considering Big B's role as the most notable work in the past which nto many can do.

Aamir on being asked how he feels about acquiring the new title of ‘King Khan’ by succeeding Shahrukh Khan, said that he never placed SRK in the position of King and also he cannot think of kicking him from the pedestal as SRK never deserved that great position and Big B is the one who is worthy of being called the the real King of Bollywood.

Elaborating, Aamir said: "In my opinion, the actor who I really look up to is Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. He is someone whose work I really like, a fantastic actor and the kind of stardom Mr. Bachchan has seen, none of us can ever hope to see."

Aamir, who turned 44 this birthday, sounds quite content with the success of Ghajini and what satisfied him more is that it turned out to be the way he intended. "You can never really tell until you see a film with the audience. How it is going to play with the audience. For me, what is important is that when I see the film once it is ready, has it turned out the way we wanted it to? If we have done that, then that makes me feel happy," he said.

Aamir ends war with Shahrukh

If the recent statement of Mr. Perfectionist is to be believed that we can draw the conclusion that the war of words between the two Khans of Bollywood has finally come to an end and they have joined hands. Aamir Khan who turned 44 this birthday sounds quite lenient towards his enemy. On a friendship note, Aamir wished Shahrukh a successful life ahead.

"I want to tell Shahrukh that I love him and respect him a lot and I wish that he leads a successful life and that all his films are hits," said Aamir. But Aamir again sounds diplomatic in his statement; on one hand, he wished SRK success while on the other, he said that he has stopped following success. "I want to follow excellence and not success anymore. If you follow excellence then success will come after you."

Aamir who indirectly claim to be number one has now changed his version, he said” I’m not interested in competing with anyone. I don’t play the number game nor do I want the crown for myself. I just like to do good work."

On listening to Aamir’s latest verdict, we wonder whether it’s an end of the war or beginning of a new battle.

Here lies a big confusion.

Aamir gets into Akshay’s look

http://movies.bizhat.com/actors/img/aamir_khan_3.jpg

Aamir Khan picks up character that truly motivates him and gives him the opportunity to present his audience something unique. Whether it is a three hour long film or a two minutes commercial, he never measure duration with his role and always tries to deliver his best. What if the entire world goes gaga over the Singh of Bollywood, Akshay Kumar? Aamir is going to give a tough competition to the present Singh of Bollywood and set to fade Akki’s King image from the mind of the audience.

Aamir after enacting Dinu Kaka in the Coke advertisement and Ardhnarishwar in the Tata Sky commercial is all set to tie up pagdi (turban) and get into the image of a rough and tough Sardar. In the latest Tata Sky commercial, Aamir Khan will play the role of a Papaji.

Aamir leaves no scope to show his versatility and now with the new Tata Sky ad, he is going to add another feather in his hat. The ad promises to be different as it will show Aamir in a totally new avatar that will give a tough fight to Akki who has already been tagged as the Singh of Bollywood.

Aamir gets sneak peek of Big B`s new look in `Paa`

http://www.bharatwaves.com/portal/uploads/original_Aamir-Khan_47bac985a170d.jpg

Mumbai, March 14: Aamir Khan sure is lucky. The actor is the only one allowed to have a sneak peek of megastar Amitabh Bachchan`s startling new look in his forthcoming film ‘Paa’, but he was of course sworn to secrecy.

Aamir paid a surprise visit last week to the Big B at Film City here while he was shooting for R Balakrishnan`s ‘Paa’ that also stars Abhishek Bachchan and Vidya Balan. Visitors are strictly not allowed on the film`s sets, but Aamir was soon escorted to Amitabh`s make-up van.

Balakrishna, who is popularly known as Balki, is paranoid about his leading man`s looks being leaked out and he swore Aamir to secrecy.

"We don`t allow a single visitor, not even close relatives or friends of crew members on the set. Phones of course are a complete no-no. The next thing you know the look will be splashed on the net. Aamir of course couldn`t be turned down. But yes, we did swear him to complete secrecy almost like a boy scout`s cross-your-heart kind of pledge," Balki said.

"We can`t afford to take any risks. If Mr. Bachchan`s look leaks out, the plot is out. In any case Aamir is a man who understands the exigencies of cinema. He will hardly be expected to leak the look out," he added.

Amitabh`s make-up is being done by none other than Stephan Dupuis, who did Robin Williams` make-up in ‘Mrs Doubtfire’. And he takes a good four hours to get the desired look.

While Aamir got a look at Big B`s unique never-before look, Sanjay Dutt and Ranbir Kapoor who dropped in the next day were not that lucky. While Sanjay met up with Amitabh when he was not in his special get-up and costume, Ranbir had to be turned away after being appeased by a photograph of the Bachchan senior`s look.

Balki, who has earlier worked with Amitabh in "Cheeni Kum", says he will soon move the shooting of ‘Paa’ to Malaysia to protect the actor`s look from prying eyes.

"We really can`t take any risk about Mr Bachchan`s look. Once people get to know what he looks like the plot will be given away. This is why we are immediately shifting location to Malaysia, not because we require a foreign location. But because we need to shoot without the fear and embarrassment of visitors," the director said.

Shahrukh, Aamir’s war still on

http://www.bharatwaves.com/portal/uploads/original_Shahrukh_48aa8e9761fe5.jpg

Time and venue doesn’t matter to the Khans. The two big Khans of Bollywood, Salman and Aamir Khan landed into fight at any place and at anytime. They never miss any opportunity to throw tantrums on one another. Whatever be the occasion, they never leave the bright chance of humiliating each other. One such particular event was the recently held Filmfare Awards. Referring to Aamir’s frequent absent from award functions, Shahrukh without mentioning Aamir said, “An actor has to be sportive about other’s wins as well. I love attending award functions as they honour those who’ve worked hard on their films.” For the last few years, Aamir has stopped attending Filmfare events as he feels the decisions were not justified.

Without paying heed to Aamir’s allegations of labeling SRK an actor inferior to him, Shahrukh praised himself by saying, “I always feel that I will win the Best Actor award.” Eventually, the best actor awards for the year 2008 went to Hrithik Roshan’s credit for Jodhaa Akbar. SRK further praised him in the following words, “People call me a good PR but more than anything I am a fantastic person,” said SRK at the recent Amrita Arora wedding too!

Year 2008 was equally promising for Shahrukh and Aamir. If Aamir walked away with all the accolades for Ghajini’ then Shahrukh had also won over the hearts with his performance in ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’.

Aamir is too old for Sanjay’s film

http://www.bollywood.ac/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/aamir-khan11.jpg

Actor-turned filmmaker Sanjay Kapoor is busy selecting his casts for his upcoming flick ‘It’s My Life’. At first, he wanted to sign Aamir Khan to play the lead but calculating his age, Sanjay changed his mind. His film requires an actor younger in age and so Sanjay now opts for Harman Baweja.

"You should be looking at what is your story trying to tell. For 'It's My Life', the role required a young boy. Now obviously Aamir Khan wouldn't have fitted in there. Similarly for the role of a father, I needed someone whose mere presence bears a commanding authority. Of course there was no other choice but Nana Patekar," Sanjay said.

In spite of having two back to back flop, Sanjay is unperturbed and signed Harman Baweja as he fulfills his requisites. On choosing Harman, he says, “There are two reasons for that. First, you have to be confident about your guy. When I signed him on, 'Love Story 2050' had not yet been released but I still believed in him. Second, always remember that your product is more important than a star. A good product can work without a known name but a bad product with the biggest of superstars won't work."

“It's My Life" is a remake of Siddharth and Genelia D'Souza starrer super hit Telugu film ‘Bommarillu’. Genelia D'Souza will play the lead actress in the Hindi remake.

Saif Ali Khan to follow Aamir Khan

Bollywood hunk Saif Ali Khan wants the same body that of Aamir Khan. He has developed a great liking for Aamir’s eight packs abs in 'Ghajini' and therefore wanted to build up the same masculine physique for his upcoming flick ‘Agent Vinod’. To get Aamir’s body, he contacted Aamir Khan’s personal trainer Satyajit Chaurasia to guide him.

A source informs, “Saif plans to shed five kilos for building a lean muscular body since he will be doing some hard core action scenes for the film. Hence he is undergoing a strict and exhausting five-month training session to attain this particular look for the film”.

But very few know that it was Saif who suggested Satyajit’s name to Aamir. Aamir once revealed, “I wanted have this particular body so I called Saif after watching him in Race. I realized that he had become very muscular and he was looking good. It was he who introduced me to Satyajit.”

Aamir’s well toned body in 'Ghajini' has made many gals fall weak at his knees. Let’s see what new Saif does and how many abs he adds to his body.
