Milenge Milenge promotion

Plans to bring Kareena Kapoor and ex-beau Shahid Kapoor together to promote their film ‘Milenge Milenge’ have been called off. While Shahid had no problems with the idea, producer Boney Kapoor feels the publicity would be doubled if the stars do the promotions individually.

Asked if he`d be willing to promote the film jointly with Kareena, Shahid said: "Yes, I`ll do everything I can to promote it. Of course, I`ll do everything in my power to see the film gets properly released. It`s my film."

However, Boney Kapoor felt otherwise.

"We`re getting Shahid and Kareena to do separate promotional activities. That way we give them space to be comfortable with the situation and also we get twice the publicity for `Milenge Milenge` that we would if the pair promoted the film jointly," the producer said.

"Milenge Milenge" is special because the former couple will be seen together after Imtiaz Ali`s lovable "Jab We Met" in 2007. Kareena is currently dating actor Saif Ali Khan.

Shahid has not only decided to go all-out for "Milenge Milenge", he has also been taking interest in the release date to ensure that it hits screens at a time when it is likely to get the best audience.

He met the producer and they mutually agreed to postpone the release from April to later in the year.

"We met and took a joint decision. Boney-ji was co-operative. Otherwise I`d have had three releases -`Milenge Milenge`, `Paathshala` and `Badmaash Company` - in one month," said Shahid.

Boney said he plans to release the film, which has been directed by Satish Kaushik, in the last week of June or the first week of July.

"`Milenge Milenge` would be Shahid`s last release until his father`s film `Mausam`. Kareena and he look gorgeous together," he said.

In fact Shahid enthusiasm about "Milenge Milenge" is seconded by Satish Kaushik. Last week, they met on the steps of the highrise apartment building they share.

Said Kaushik: "Though we live in the same building, Shahid and I never meet! I know him from the time he was a child. On Saturday night we bumped into each other in our highrise compound after a party. We spoke for nearly an hour about `Milenge Milenge`.

"Shahid told me the project is very dear to him and that he would go all out to promote the film."

kareena’s childhood dream

Kareena Kapoor from childhood cherished the dream of becoming an air-hostess. She had a great desire to fly higher and higher and go around the world but when the appropriate time came to convert her dream into reality, her father raised a big objection and Bebo’s career took a complete U-turn.

She said, “I wanted to be an air hostess and fly the world, but my father was very against that. Then came the lawyer phase, where I went to Govt. Law College for six months and ran away because of the books.”

Though not as an air-hostess, Kareena is flying higher and going around the globe being an actress and she is happy for that. Bebo is quite content with the progress she has made in her personal and professional life and feels lucky enough to find a beau like Saif Ali Khan who understands her like nobody.

She added, “The fact that I am not the heroine of his (Saif Ali Khan) first production just goes to show that we have our complete different zones when we work. Saif Ali Khan is actually the guy who has wanted to be single all his life, run away from relationships, run away from commitment, but he always tells me ‘you are actually the only girl that I really wanted to commit to.’ But he is supportive and understands that she is at 'a stage which every girl would want to be at in their career' and for that, I love him even more.”

Pataudi refuses to comment on Saif-Bebo’s wedding

Nawab Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi who was on a personal visit to his ancestral house in Bhopal refused to comment on Saif-Kareena’s wedding plan when media popped the question to him. Rather he advised them to throw this personal question to the couple as they are the right person to answer it.

"You better ask Saif and Karina about their marriage plans, instead of me. They would tell about it in a better way. They are mature. Now-a-days children don't listen to parents," Mr. Pataudi told reporters here on Saturday.

Tiger Pataudi was on a two days visit to Bhopal with wife and former actress Sharmila Tagore. Reportedly, he arrived in the city to take part in a private function and to resolve some property disputes.

On asking about contesting election from his constituency, Pataudi straightway replied that neither he nor any of his family members have any plans to fight elections.

No plan to enter IPL, I only know how to act: Kareena Kapoor

New Delhi, March 15: Bollywood beauties Preity Zinta, Juhi Chawla and Shilpa Shetty are trying their luck in the business of cricket through the Indian Premier League (IPL), but Kareena Kapoor says she has no such plan as she doesn`t have a business sense.

Asked if she planned to enter IPL like other actresses, Kareena said: "I have no idea about business. I only know how to act. As for business, I will think about it five years later."

Kareena, who was last seen with superstar Shah Rukh Khan in a song in "Billu", is busy working for forthcoming films like "Kambakth Ishq", "Main Aur Mrs. Khanna", "Three Idiots" and an untitled Renzil D`Silva project.

While Preity co-owns IPL team Kings XI Punjab, Juhi is part owner of Shah Rukh`s Kolkata Knight Riders and Shilpa Shetty joined the cricket bandwagon this year with beau Raj Kundra by buying a stake in Rajasthan Royals.

Saif, Bebo to wed after two years

If you are willing to witness Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor’s marriage shortly, then sorry to say that you have to wait for two long years to see the sizzling couple in wedlock. The reason being Kareena and Saif’s tight schedule. They have lots coming their way and at present they are enjoying every bit of attention in the form of awards and film assignments.

On asking Kareena when she will get into matrimonial bonding with Saif, she replied, “It won’t happen for the next two years for sure. Am I crazy to get married now when so many wonderful things are happening to my career? Saif himself is ultra-busy trying to set up his production house. Marriage can wait. I’m just happy to have him by my side. I’ve got the best guy any girl can ever have. Right now I’m so busy I don’t have time to sleep properly. I haven’t even had time to move into my new house.”

Kareena is running short of space to keep the trophies, she quips, “My mother gets exasperated each time I bring home another trophy. Saif wants to know where I’m going to keep all of them. I’ve set aside a whole enclave for trophies and awards. I love looking at them. One day my children are going to look at them and be proud of me.”

Imran steals Kareena's heart

In real, Kareena Kapoor may be dating Saif Ali Khan but at present the one who is keeping the actress restless is the new Khan of Bollywood who is young and handsome and just stepped into the glamour industry. Interestingly, our Bebo is smitten by the 'Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na' actor, Imran Khan.

It was during the Filmfare Awards night when Kareena felt for Imran. As Imran was hosting the show with Ranbir Kapoor, Bebo was not able to keep her eyes away from him. At that very star-studded night, Imran stole Kareena’s heart. Bebo was so much impressed with Imran’s personality and attitude that the lady expressed her desire to play Imran’s ladylove.

Apparently, Bebo’s wish has been heard by director Sanjay Gadhvi of 'Dhoom'. Buzz is that he is keen to cast Kareena and Imran in his next film. Though they have not yet signed the venture, it is learnt that Kareena is quite excited on sharing screen space with the young and charming.

Big B, Bebo end up enmity

Finally superstar Amitabh Bachchan has put an end to all those wrong rumors about Kareena Kapoor not sharing a good rapport with him and ignored him during an event. By praising the Kapoor's in his blog, Big B has ended up all the wrong news flashed in the media about the differences between the two families.

It is learnt that the Kapoor and the Bachchan patched up and they no more carrying ill feeling for one another. Bebo has developed a disliking for the Bachchan's after they broke up Karishma and Abhishek’s engagement.

A close friend of Kareena remarked, “She knows how to balance her professional life and personal life. She has never shown any animosity towards them. She has been born and brought up in this industry and the question of showing disrespect for the elders will never arise.”

Another source reveals, “Mr. Bachchan feels that Kareena is a very warm and affectionate person. She has never disrespected her elders. Mr. Bachchan has seen Kareena grown up in front of him as there has always been a huge connection between the Kapoors and the Bachchans from the great grand father times.”

Bebo made her debut with Abhishek with 'Refugee' but after that they did not pair opposite each other. She is keen to work with Abhi again but it is Abhishek who is not showing any interest.

Now that the two families had shaken hands, we can expect the duo to ablaze the silver screen again.

Katrina taking tips from Kareena

The cold war between Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif has finally come to an end. They patched up during Amrita’s wedding and had a blast during her bash. Both were seen so much engrossed in talking that onlookers starred at them surprisingly with a feeling how come the two contrasting actress patched up.

According to a source, "The cold war between Kareena and Katrina is a thing of the past. The two bonded at Amrita Ladhak's wedding brunch on Wednesday, chatting about everything from their films to designer outfits and how to maintain a fit and fab body without dieting. In fact, they were so engrossed in catching up that they even made their beaus, Saif and Sallu jealous. Bebo and Kat do different films, which is perfect for them as there's no competition."

Kareena quips about Kat, "Katrina's a sweetheart! We had a blast together at Amu's wedding. She's one actress who is true to herself. That's why I am fond of her."

Katrina Kaif too admits taking tips from Kareena regarding fitness. She says, "We had great fun at Amu's party. Bebo is very sweet and supportive of me. She is my inspiration on how to have a fab, healthy body. It all started last year when I got injured on the sets of De Dhana Dhan and suffered a blood infection. The whole illness left me feeling tired and drained.

I was also having over 1500 mg worth of antibiotics so I could recover faster. When I went home to London for Christmas, I was listless and lethargic and could hardly move around."

We can say it’s a beginning of a new relationship.

Bebo throws party on Shahid’s birthday

On 25th February, Shahid Kapur turned 27 and as reported he celebrated the event with his close friends and relatives but debarred of his ex-beau Kareena Kapoor. Interestingly, the same evening when Shahid threw a homely party to his friends, Kareena Kapoor partied with Saif Ali Khan at his residence in Bandra.

A source adds, "When Kareena heard about Shahid's party at Sajid Nadiadwala's party on Tuesday night, she immediately decided to host her own at Saif's Bandra home though hers was a gathering of select friends like designer Aki Narula, her make-up artiste, Mallika Bhatt, designer Shabina Khan (who was also invited to Shahid's party), Amrita Arora, Malaika Arora Khan, Arbaaz Khan and a few others."

Says a source, "Shahid's bash was at a lounge bar of a suburban five-star hotel. The guestlist had Vidya Balan, Amrita Rao and Priyanka Chopra all of whom he has been romantically linked to! Meanwhile, ex-girlfriend Kareena Kapoor was not invited. Others included Farah Khan and Shirish Kunder, his Kaminey director Vishal Bhardwaj, Sajid and Wardha Nadiadwala, Ken Ghosh, Ahmed Khan and wife Shaira, designer Shabina Khan and trainer Abbas."

Shahid celebrated his D-day with dad Pankaj and step-mom Supriya Kapur, their children Rohan and Sanaa, Shahid's brother Ishaan (Shahid's mother Neelima Azim and Rajesh Khattar's son) his close friend from Bangalore, Shriram.

A source close to Kareena says, "What rubbish! Kareena didn't throw any party. She was shooting double shifts for Rensil D' Silva's next and some patchwork for Kambakht Ishq. Maybe designer Akki Narula threw some party but Bebo wasn't involved in it."

Farhan to act with Kareena

If you are a fan of both Farhan Akhtar and Kareena Kapoor and desires to see them together then you need not have to wait long as director Sudhir Mishra has roped this two unlike couple for his next film. His untitled flick will be based upon the political dynamics of a man-woman relationship.

Farhan confirmed the report by saying "I am looking forward to working with Kareena. She's been a friend for many years. This script gives both of us a chance to try something we haven`t done before. Kareena has a role to die for. It’s a hugely fascinating part. When Sudhir Mishra narrated the script I liked it immediately. We are in the process of finalizing the deal."

The flick will be produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's Excel Entertainment. It will be lovely to see Rock On actor rocking with ravishing Bebo.

Kareena Kapoor calls it truce

Kareena Kapoor is a changed woman post dating Saif Ali Khan. Previously known for snubbing Preity Zinta and having an argument with Bipasha Basu on the sets of Ajnabee, she has now gone ahead and called it truce with both the ladies. She decided to end her feud with Bipasha and invited her to beau Saif’s birthday party bash she hosted.

Bipasha was said to have been "surprised" but since then the old costars have become friendly with one another.

She did the same with Preity Zinta who joked with her and said, "Saif is my best friend and I have to be nice to you." Kareena was amused at Preity’s jovial attitude and since then the duo have become good pals. When Preity had her big (and noisy) birthday bash this year, Kareena was on the guest list but Bebo had prior plans and couldn’t attend.

On a more recent note, Kareena and Preity were seen along with Priyanka Chopra at the FCCI Award ceremony where the trio bonded together. Kareena has definitely grown up since her debut days. She has decided to let bygone be bygones and become friends with the ladies in her industry. Do we see a patch up between Kareena and Amisha Patel too? After all, Amisha and boyfriend Kanav Puri are both friendly with Saif. Time will tell and we will have the news fresh of the press if and when it does happen!

Kareena scared to go underwater

Ravishing Kareena Kapoor turned cold when she had to perform underwater stunt for Kambakth Ishq. She took so long to win over her fear that she delayed the shooting for six hours. Bebo was so frightened to go underwater that she kept on taking out her feet everytime she stepped in water. But at the end, she got the scene right.

A source from the unit, who was present at the shoot, said, "A part of this scene had been shot in Italy. Since the remaining part didn’t require the backdrop of Italy, the director, Sabir Khan, decided to shoot it in India."

When things were not getting in place, Sabir without any choice reduced the volume of water in the pool. Our source added, "After the water was flushed out from the pool, Akshay and the foreign technicians working on the film, actually explained to Kareena how to do the scene. After that, she sailed through the shoot."

What prevented Kareena from getting into the pool in the first place, since she knows how to swim? A friend of Kareena clarified, "It was just that Kareena was very unwell on Sunday but being the professional that she is, she reported for the shoot."

Confirming the incident, Kareena replied, "I would go out of my way for my film and my role. It was tough as I felt very claustrophobic underwater. But we achieved the shot eventually. We had some great scuba trainers with us."

Kareena, Sreesanth voted the sexiest

Ravishing Kareena Kapoor and ace cricketer Sreesanth have won the PETA India's annual Sexiest Vegetarians Alive poll. By wining the title, they defeated last year winners, R Madhavan, model and Doctor Aditi Gowitrikar, Pentagram vocalist Vishal Dadlani, singer Kailash Kher and many others. Kareena is already a winner of many titles and with this award; she had added one more feather on her hat. This is the second time that Bebo is honored with this sexiest vegetarian title.

While for Sreesanth it's an altogether new recognition. He has beaten out his fellow vegetarian cricket stars like Ishant Sharma and Anil Kumble to earn the title of sexiest male.

''When you look at the dozens of gorgeous celebrities in this year's poll, there are no bones about it - a vegetarian diet makes you beautiful inside and out'', says PETA India's Anuradha Sawhney. Bebo miffed with Saif

Very often Kareena Kapoor turns her face away from Saif Ali Khan in anger. She again picked up a fight with Saif Ali Khan when he was taking too much time to come out of his van and resume shooting. Kareena Kapoor became irritated with Saif's delay and she was seen talking to him in an angry mood.

The incident took place during the shooting of Dharma Productions film, directed by Rensil D'Silva in which Saif and Bebo are playing terrorists. Due to excessive fog, they had to cancel their morning shoot and as they went for an outing to get some fresh air at the India Gate, fans halted for picnic made a mess over there to get a glimpse of their favorite stars. The duo at first did not come out of the van to avoid interacting with fans but finally Bebo stepped out. Looking at her, one could easily make out that something was wrong between the lovebirds. She did not attend her fans.

But Saif did not respond badly. He stepped out, waved back and smiled at the crowd. When the two sat in the car, Kareena was seen talking to Saif angrily.

Bebo, Saif's Valentine's Day plan

Like Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan will also not get time to spend together on this Valentine's Day. The couples will be busy with their respective shoots but that doesn't dishearten our Bebo at all as her tall, dark and handsome (This is the way she mentioned about Saif) is always with her and they don’t need to be together specially on Valentine’s Day.

"I knew that I'd be asked what I was going to do on Valentine's. I'm working on V-Day, and as it is, I don’t believe in all this. My tall, dark and handsome is always with me!" she says. Today, Kareena Kapoor is working round the clock and will not get any relaxation on that particular day to spend time with boyfriend. The case is same for Saif also, he too is working 24/7.

But both hardly will be missing each other on that day because whenever both are in India shooting in nearby location, they make a point to meet. Saif and Bebo is again in news for their on-screen kiss in Rensil D'Silva’s film. At first Kareena was little hesitant to kiss Saif but later on Saif's compellation, she became ready for the scene.

Kareena in, Katrina out in Race 2

One of the 2008's biggest grosser of the year Abbas-Mustan's Race is again in news. Firstly for its sequel and most importantly for Kareena factor. Katrina who was part of the blockbuster Race is out of the Race sequel. She has been replaced by none other than her biggest rival Kareena Kapoor.

Ramesh Taurani from Tips says, "Yes, we are already working on the script of Race 2. We were thrilled with Race's success. Theatrically and overseas, it grossed Rs 120 crore and was one of the blockbusters of 2008; that's why we are planning a sequel to it. Abbas-Mustaan will direct the sequel while Saif and Anil will be retained. We are also going in for new casting with the sequel. Kareena will act in Race 2 opposite Saif. In Race, the story will be different while some of the characters will remain the same."

Saif remarked, "I am very excited to be part of the Race sequel. I have been offered many sequels but there are only certain films which merit a sequel Race is one of them. We aim to make Race 2 better than the original. It will be slicker, faster, sexier, more thrilling and upgraded in a much bigger way from Race."

Race 2 will be the third flick in which Saif will be paired opposite Kareena.

Shahid compares Kareena with a Cow

Shahid Kapur has starred with Kareena Kapoor in couple of films and delivered blockbuster like Jab We Met. Ever since both broke up, filmmakers also did not have guts to approach them but now that Shahid Kapur has made an open declaration about his desire to act with Bebo again, chances seemed to grow up again.

"I would like to work with her again. I feel that as an actor if my producer wants me to romance with a cow or a buffalo also, I'll do it because that's my job," Shahid said. After five years of long love relationship, Kareena threw Shahid out her life and formed a new relationship with Saif Ali Khan. Till date their relationship is going steady and both will be seen in Agent Vinod.

Though Shahid has only few films in his bag, Kareena has ample films lined up for release. Shahid has expressed his desire to act with Bebo again but what Bebo holds in her heart is yet to be unearthed.

Kareena is feeling home sickness

Ravishing Kareena Kapoor is a busy bee. As she became the most demanding actress of Bollywood, she distributed her time between films and endorsements and hardly finds time to spend with family. And the little amount of time that she hardly manages to get is bestowed upon beau Saif, romancing and traveling around the globe. In the last couple of months, Kareena has hardly spend time with her family. Round the clock, she remained busy with her projects. Kareena has many projects lined up for release. She has couple of films with Saif and currently busy shooting with Salman for Main Aur Mrs Khanna.

Miss India Worldwide pageant 2009

Miss India Worldwide pageant 2009 is going to be a combination of glitz, glamour and talent. More glamour will be added to the show by serene beauty Katrina Kaif and ravishing Kareena Kapoor and they will be joined by sultry Yana Gupta. They will set the stage on fire by their dynamic performance.

Bollywood actor Deepak Tijori whose company is hosting the show with Kaleidovision, said at a press conference: "There will be a mix of beauty, talent and glamour at the finale of the pageant, with Bollywood beauties shaking a leg with the participants. It will be an evening to remember."

Before the finale, the 20 finalists will go through a 10 days question and answer session. Mehar Bhasin, who will look after the grooming of the contestants has been quoted as saying: "Training is not going to be a cakewalk for them. They will have to go through a tough and hectic regime of around 14 hours a day, which means they cannot take it easy."

Beauty expert Blossom and Samantha Kochhar will take care of the beauty and hair of the contestants while designer duo Rahul and Rohit Gandhi of the label Cue will design their outfits.

Over Comedy ?? Akshay kumar

The shocking downfall of Nikhil Advani's Chandni Chowk To China has put a huge question mark on Akshay Kumar's ongoing comic journey. Most of his well-wishers in the industry seriously wish him to end his protracted attempts at comedy.

Says a director who has worked with Akshay, "Akshay Kumar has become progressively active in the process of writing scripts and shooting films. He freely makes suggestions some of which, I've to admit, are good. But quite often he wants to take over the project. When I went to him with another project he offered to co-produce it and get someone to re-write portions. It's obvious a lot of scenes in Chandni Chowk were re-written. The result shows."

Apparently, the Chandni Chowk To China writer Sridhar Raghavan was persuaded to continuously change the scenes until the writer (known for his skilled screenplay in Raj Santoshi's film) was a helpless puppet propelling the plot to destinations-unknown.

However, Akshay's staunch producer-director friends are more than happy to stand by him.

Akshay's next crucial release Kambhakht Ishq has very little of the comic element. "It's an out-and-out rom-com with stunts of an international order," informs producer Sajid Nadiadwala proudly." And why are we jumping the gun just because one of his films hasn't lived up to expectations? There could be so many reasons for it. Why should Akshay be blamed for it? Why so much negativity about him? Is he the first superstar to disappoint audiences?"

Sajid shoots down rumours of seriously revamping the comic element in Kambhakht Ishq. "Why would I do that? The film is what it is. I don't work with my actors based on how their last film did. Kambhakht Ishq will have a lot to offer."

However, on the downside Akshay's pairing with Kareena Kapoor has hardly ever worked, their last few films being Suneel Darshan's Talaash, Dharmesh Darshan's Bewafaa and Yash Raj Films' Tashan.

Vipul Shah's film with Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai which he launches in March is also not a comic romp. "But I don't think the failure of Chandni Chowk To China means that audiences have rejected him in the comic avatar. The backlash is totally uncalled-for. And it looks motivated by reasons other than the box-office. A lot of people have been waiting to pounce on Akshay. This is their opportunity," Vipul Shah defends his hero stoutly.

It is believed that apart from Priyadarshan's De Dana Dan which is an out-and-out comedy, Akshay Kumar forthcoming projects will seriously cut down or downplay the comic element.

"It's the Govinda factor at work again," says a director who wants to remain unnamed. "He did so much buffoonery on screen, Govinda made people forget there was more to him than meets the eye."
