Adhyayan Suman calls Shahana a whore

Adhyayan Suman felt awkward when he had to call his co-star Shahana Goswami a whore in his forthcoming film ‘Jashnn’. In the film, Shahana plays Adhyayan’s sister.

Narrating the incident, Adhyayan Suman said, "Yes, there is a scene like that in the film where in a fit of anger I end up calling Shahana, who plays my sister, a whore. It was quite a difficult scene to do due to two major reasons.

"First, it was one of the first scenes that we shot for the film. Secondly, I didn`t know her (Shahana) too well due to which it was a little awkward for me to mouth such words”.

The Raaz-2 actor speaks highly about Shahana and said that he liked her both in ‘Firaaq’ and ‘Rock On’. “I loved her in both `Firaaq` and `Rock On!`. In `Jashn`, she has a serious role once again. It is not easy to play someone`s mistress but she has done extremely well once again”, said Adhyayan.

‘Jashnn’ from the Bhatt camp is all set to release on July 17.

Katrina will not marry Salman!

“On the personal front, Katrina will not marry Salman and if she does, then it will not last long. They both are completely different people. Salman is a Number 9 (27th Dec.1965) ruled by Mars (No.9), No.8 (Saturn – Capricorn) and No.6 (Venus). They share Number 9 in common but nothing else. Towards 2010 in ‘Rajniti’ where is rumored to have played the role of Sonia Gandhi, she will be getting mixed reviews for her performance but the film shall do well at the ticket window” adds Bhavikk.

Confirms Imran, "Shruti and I have known each other since we were 10 or 12. We're friends and get on very well. Soham was keen to cast a new girl and after he gave me a description of what he was looking for, I suggested Shruti. She had the attitude, style and body language that was needed of the character. She was game and flew down from Chennai for an audition. Soham loved her screen test and confirmed her."

Imran isn't sparing in his praise for his good friend. "While my favourite song in LUCK is Khuda Ya Veh, Shruti's rendition of Aazma Luck is fantastic! It's proper rock!"

Mumbai, March 25: Shah Rukh Khan’s onetime best buddy, writer Mushtaq Sheikh is a friend no more. Bollywood is stunned at this supposed fallout since the two swore by each other till sometime back.

According to reports, SRK and Mushtaq (who had in the past written two books- ‘Still Reading Khan’ and ‘Shah Rukh Can’, on the life of his best buddy SRK) have drifted apart. It is believed that their friction intensified when Shah Rukh’s ‘Billu’ which was written by Sheikh bombed at the BO.

Mushtaq, who was also the co-writer of ‘Om Shanti Om’, was to write another script for SRK but after ‘Billu’ proved to be a disappointment, SRK decided against making Mushtaq work on another script for them. And that is believed to have been the end point of their friendship.

Shahrukh gets back to work

After a brief rest, Shahrukh Khan gets back to work. He has resumed the shooting of his best friend Karan Johar’s directional venture, ‘My Name Is Khan’ opposite Kajol. Shahrukh Khan has undergone shoulder surgery and doctors have advised him rest for minimum four months but against doctors advise, he has resumed shooting after a short gap.

SRK ensures that he will shoot only light scenes that will not put much stress on his shoulder. Since his shoulder is not properly healed, SRK takes painkillers before shooting and in between does physical exercise for shoulder.

Shahrukh Khan confirms that his arm will take another four to five months to make well fully. He will stay away from any stunts for at least six months or may be more. Everything depends on how his shoulder heals.

In spite of shoulder surgery, Shahrukh did not stay away from media glare and made appearance in Filmfare events and even actively taking part in the IPL.

Prachi Desai pairs with Emraan Hashmi

The actor who rose to stardom with the success of ‘Rock On’ is back with a bang. Yes, Prachi Desai popularly known as Bani is once again in action to ablaze the silver screen with serial kisser Emran Hashmi. The film titled ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai’ an offering from the Balaji camp and based on the yesteryear's underworld don Haji Mustan's life.

Excited about the film, Prachi reportedly said, “Yes, it is true that I have signed Balaji Telefilm's Once Upon A Time In Mumbai. I can't reveal any details about my character, but trust me, it is going to be a different character. I am being paired opposite Emraan Hashmi. He is one of the most successful actors and the music of all his films has always been appreciated. I am hoping that even this film will also be a hit. Besides me and Emraan, the film will also star Kangna Ranaut and Ajay Devgan.”

Further she tells, “I’m happy that I’m back with Balaji banner but the only difference would be the whole crew will be different as the film is directed by Milan Luthra. The shooting of the film has not yet started but it will start soon and mainly the shooting will happen in Mumbai. I would have to a lot of research for my character.”

The film will also star Ajay Devgan and Kangana Ranaut. She has recently completed the dubbing of her next film, ‘Life Partner’ with Tusshar Kapoor.

Genelia D’Souza in a tumultuous married life in ‘Jaane Tu’ sequel

Mumbai, March 26: From endorsement deals, swishy roles to now sequels, Genelia D’Souza has some sweet angel showering luck at her. The lissome beauty, who made the nation fall in love with ‘Aditi’, the girl-next-door in ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’, is all set to carry forward her cute girl act in the sequel to the blockbuster flick.

Reportedly, Abbas Tyrewala is following the teen movie with a matured sequel. And the director is sticking to his magic formula and pair for the sequel too.

Not taking any chances, the director has cast Imran and Genelia in the lead roles. And sources tell us that the movie will look at their life post marriage.

Talking about the film, Abbas Tyrewala said, “It starts with Jai (Imran Khan) and Aditi (Genelia D’Souza) having problems in their marriage. They are on the verge of a divorce after Jai ends up drunk and having a one-night-stand.”

Obviously excited at the offer, Genelia said, “A film like ‘Jaane Tu’ doesn’t happen every day. It fell into my lap by chance. All of us in ‘Jaane Tu’ have got busy. Everyone went their way. I’ve been working round the clock on my films and endorsements. But whenever I meet Abbas or Imran, we feel the same warmth that we felt during the making of the film. It would be fun for the whole team to be reunited.”

Salman plays cameo in Katrina’s film

When Shahrukh Khan has closed his door for cameo, Salman Khan has still kept the role open. He is doing a cameo in Rajkumar Santoshi’s much awaited flick ‘Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahini’ and what’s making the idea more interesting is that the film stars Salman’s beau Katrina Kaif in the female lead role opposite Ranbir Kapoor.

Mumbai, March 23: They might have rubbished all speculations of a reported catfight and shooed off animosity claims with their refuting remarks at rift-suggesting media reports, but ask Sonam Kapoor and sultry beauty Deepika Padukone to come together for a magazine shoot and the two go green at the mere suggestion.

The two actresses, who have been at the loggerheads since they made their way to Bollywood, seem to be at it again. Ever since Deepika went to date Sonam’s saawariya Ranbir Kapoor, the two dainty beauties have been involved in a tussle of sorts.

And though the sassy babes have repeatedly denied all such reports, their latest act has once again brought their cold war under the arc lights. According to Spicezee sources, the two lissome actresses were offered to come together for the cover of Indian edition of fashion magazine Vogue.

Unwilling to share the space, the two ladies politely declined the offer. Besides being featured together the two ladies also had reservations about the theme of the photo shoot.

Buzz has it that the magazine was to show the duo engaged in a kind of mock cat-fight over a boy. Now that’s a theme that would have been too close to reality.

Mumbai, March 23: Director Vivek Sharma debuted well as a director with ‘Bhoothnath’, and is now using his above-average start to put his career in full-steam mode. The movie boasted special presence of Bollywood titans Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. He is using the awesome combination again for his upcoming ‘Buddham Sharanam Gachchami’.

When only one of them is enough to saturate the screen space with their presence, the idea of both together sparks enormous interest. ‘Bhoothnath’ won big time at the BO, and Vivek’s production house ‘Film Zone Productions’ is targeting even handsome returns this time.

Vivek plans to start two projects by the end of this year.

“My first film is titled Buddham Sharanam Ghachchami and it is a very violent film. I am planning to have big stars in the film. My next script needs to have both the superstars. I have narrated the subject to Amitabh Bachchan, I have yet to narrate it to Shah Rukh. I am keeping my fingers crossed that he will agree to do my project,” Vivek revealed to a news daily.

‘Kal Kisne Dekha’, another flick in Vivek’s kitty, has been shot at various locales in South Africa and New Zealand. It stars debutants Jackky Bhagnani and Vaishali Desai, who is filmmaker Manmohan Desai’s grand daughter.

“The film is all about a young boy who can see the future. He has supernatural powers. I had signed the film before Bhoothnath but when Ravi Chopra approached me with Bhoothnath, I could not hold back. I was keen to work with Amjitji and Shah Rukh whom I consider my local guardian,” Vivek explained.

Talking of more projects, he said, “Well I am doing Ashtavinayak’s ‘Dil Can Fly Idhar Udhar’, a romantic comedy. We have still not zeroed in on the star cast.”

Deepika Padukone is showstopper at WIFW

New Delhi, March 22: Actress Deepika Padukone sashayed down the ramp for top designers Rana Gill and Rina Dhaka at the ongoing Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) here.

The theme of the show, sponsored by Fiama Di Wills, was Nature Meets Science. While Rana was inspired by rich colours, Rina`s work symbolised technology and science, bringing together different motifs and textures in her range.

Deepika donned a light pink printed gown with a corset top for Rana`s show late Saturday while for Rana`s collection, the model-turned-actress sported a short cream dress, showing off her long legs.

Elaborating on her collection, Rana told reporters that the real inspiration behind her line were peacock colours.

"This time I have tried to do some experimentation and do some thing different. Even though my signature prints are very prominent here but I have used loads of solids this time," Rana said.

"I have also used a lot of peacock colours like emerald green, wine berry and medieval blues," she added.

The fabrics she used were suede, silk and velvet. The line comprised long dresses, draped dresses, overcoats and fluid pants with little embroidery.

Rina`s collection focused mainly on technology to create new textures.

Science, according to her, has changed everything and one can easily forget traditional designs. For Rina, it is time to reinterpret old fashion.

Her collection was a mix of dresses, coats, short dresses and the colour palette ranged from black to brown and from white to cream.

Aishwarya has a `super-busy` shoot schedule ahead

Mumbai, March 22: Aishwarya Rai sure has a crowded year ahead, having signed movies with filmmakers Vishal Bhardwaj, Rituparno Ghosh, Abhinay Deo and Vipul Shah. And the actress says each of these films is equally challenging and "special" to her.

The former Miss World has something unique to say about each movie and filmmaker.

"Ritu-da and I have agreed to work together again after `Chokher Bali` and `Raincoat` in Bengali and Hindi respectively. Our next film together is a bilingual. And very challenging," said Aishwarya.

"As for Abhinay Deo`s film it`s got me and Abhishek (Bachchan) in it. But it covers a territory very different from what audiences have seen in `Guru`, `Dhoom 2` and `Sarkar Raj`. Abhinay`s film is also very different from Mani Ratnam`s `Raavan`. It`s a special challenge to work with my husband because we`ve to make sure we don`t repeat ourselves," the Bachchan daughter-in-law added.

The `super-busy` star is also looking forward to working with Akshay Kumar after a long time in Vipul Shah`s next movie.

"It`s something that Vipul, Akshay and I haven`t done before. The last time Akshay and I came together in `Khakee` we played almost antagonists. This time we`ll hopefully play a more compatible couple," Aishwarya laughed.

So why the sudden flurry of activity this year?

"These are projects with directors whom I`ve wanted to work with for a long time. To say no to them when we both are so keen to work with one another seems inappropriate," she explained.

A project audiences are awaiting is the one where Aishwarya teams up with filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj for the first time.

"Vishal and I have wanted to work together ever since he was the music composer on a project that got shelved. We had promised one another that I`d star in his film whenever he turned director."

Right after his directorial debut with children`s film "Makdee", Vishal had offered Aishwarya a film called "Timbuctoo", but it got shelved.

"I was very impressed by Vishal`s work. But he insisted that we`ll work together only when he finds the absolutely right project. That has finally happened. Vishal has bounced the script off me. And we both feel this is the right project for us to come together."

The project will go into production by the year-end.

‘Friends’ Abhay Deol and Sonam Kapoor pair up for ‘Ayesha’

Mumbai, March 18: After tasting the success of ‘Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!’ and ‘Dev D’, Abhay Deol has surely become the hot property of B-town! The Deol puttar received critical acclaim for his performance and according to the latest gossip he is getting quite an attention from his female co-actors, too.

Grapevine has it that both Abhay Deol and Sonam Kapoor are ‘friends’ and have been seen spending quality time together. As per a source, “Abhay`s birthday was on Sunday (March 15) but he held a bash only on Monday and that, too, for his non-filmi friends at a friend`s place. Sonam was the first to arrive and the last to leave in the wee hours of Tuesday. As there was no one from Bollywood, the duo were completely relaxed and did not mind being spotted together.”

It is believed that Sonam Kapoor invited Abhay Deol for ‘Delhi 6’ premiere at New York Their friendship takes a professional turn as well in ‘Ayesha’, a movie based on Jane Austen’s Emma.

Anil Kaporr is producing the classic, and it was Sonam who recommended Abhay’s name. She has been quite impressed by Abhay’s choice of films.

However, a source close to Abhay did not fail to maintain, “As they are doing a film together, they are simply meeting for ‘Ayesha’s’ script reading. There`s nothing more to it.”

It will be a wait and watch game whether Abhay and Sonam remain pals or let their friendship blossom into something deeper.

Mumbai, March 21: Minissha Lamba and Boman Irani are shering wonderful chemistry, in paternal terms at least! The petite beauty is working in the uopcoming movie ‘Abba Ka Kuan’ with the veteran actor Irani, who plays her father.

While Boman plays her father, addressed by Minissha as ‘Abba’, she is so taken up by the actor’s persona that their onscreen warmth is spilling offscreen as well.

Talking to an entertainment website, Minissha confesses, “Literally I adopted Boman as my father while we were off the sets. I would call him Abba all the time and he too would call me by the name of the character I play. The bond between the father and the daughter would be played out post pack up every evening, so much so that when something had to be done, I would take permission from Abba.”

While the game is having wonderful effects on their performance, it is doing wonders to their personal equation, too. Minissha further adds, “It was one of the most unique relationships I`ve had with any co-star to date. The moment I wouldn`t find Boman around, I`d be looking for him. That`s how the rapport was.”

The actor is mixing pleasure with profession in a single move. She will be in Udaipur shooting for her upcoming film ‘The Eighth Wonder’. Kidman is reported to stay in the picturesque ‘Lake Palace Hotel’ in the city. Then she will visit friends in New Delhi on March 23.

Though details of her film are under tight wraps, grapevine has it that Kidman will be playing a female version of Indiana Jones. The story reportedly revolves around an archaeological discovery that sets off a thrilling race around the world.

Not SRK but Big B is the real ‘King’ for Aamir

The never ending fight of Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan has taken another avatar. Aamir, after denying following success and not believing in the number game tagged Amitabh Bachchan as the real 'King' of Bollywood considering Big B's role as the most notable work in the past which nto many can do.

Aamir on being asked how he feels about acquiring the new title of ‘King Khan’ by succeeding Shahrukh Khan, said that he never placed SRK in the position of King and also he cannot think of kicking him from the pedestal as SRK never deserved that great position and Big B is the one who is worthy of being called the the real King of Bollywood.

Elaborating, Aamir said: "In my opinion, the actor who I really look up to is Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. He is someone whose work I really like, a fantastic actor and the kind of stardom Mr. Bachchan has seen, none of us can ever hope to see."

Aamir, who turned 44 this birthday, sounds quite content with the success of Ghajini and what satisfied him more is that it turned out to be the way he intended. "You can never really tell until you see a film with the audience. How it is going to play with the audience. For me, what is important is that when I see the film once it is ready, has it turned out the way we wanted it to? If we have done that, then that makes me feel happy," he said.

Bhansali cheated Salman

Actor Salman Khan and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali had a long standing association from the days of ‘Khamoshi’. Whenever the director knocks Salman’s door, he always used to be there to welcome him with open heart. But when Bhansali signed Hrithik Roshan for Hollywood remake ‘Prestige’ which was Salman’s idea, he felt cheated and destined never to work with Bhansali in future.

Salman poured the idea of remaking the Hollywood flick ‘Prestige’ to Bhansali but when he came to know that Bhansali has planned the film with Hrithik, he felt embittered.

Adds the source, "Sallu had agreed to be a part of Saawariya because of his old association (Khamoshi, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam) with Bhansali. Moreover, he had even taken time out to promote the film as the release date was clashing with Om Shanti Om that had Shahrukh Khan.

Saawariya was a launch pad for Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor, both newbies. Yet Sallu did whatever Bhansali told him for the promotion of the film."

It is learnt that Salman now feels cheated. As the source puts it, "He feels he did a huge favor to Bhansali during Saawariya and this was not at all expected from him."

Sonam, Deepika’s cat-fight continues

They claim to be friends but they are not. Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone refuse to pose together for Vogue magazine. When they were approached to shoot together, they politely declined the offer and claimed for individual shoot.

A source tells all, "Deepika and Sonam haven't been shot together, and the magazine thinktank thought it's be a great idea to get the Saawariya and the Om Shanti Om girls in the same frame. Not just because they made their debuts at the same time, but also because they were of the same age, and are friends, as well as rivals.

The idea was to get the girls into a mock cat fight. They were asked to wear a shirt, denims and jacket and get into a fight over a boy's t-shirts. The visuals had to show them as two tom boyish girls fighting over a boy's clothes."

This is not the end, Sonam even refused to share the same platform with Deepika at the recently held Filmfare awards when she was asked to host with Deepika. Finally, Konkana joined Deepika.

However, when contacted Sonam denied the entire incident and said, "It's not true".

Abhi changes his look for one day

The Bachchan junior is trapped between Balki’s ‘Paa’ and Mani’s ‘Raavan’, his schedule is so hectic that he finds no time to take a break and what makes his timetable more tight is his changing look. If in Mani Ratnam’s 'Raavan', Abhishek Bachchan sports a moustache then in ‘Paa’ he is sporting a clean shaved. Says Abhishek, “The new clean-shaven look was needed. It was just one day’s shoot for Paa. Now for next week I have to go back to the earlier look for Mani’s look.”

Moreover, Abhishek’s ‘Raavan’ look was the most liked one among fans and many even requested Abhishek to keep his moustache permanently as it suits him very much.

However, he has to go for another look for Abhinay Deo’s untitled film.

kareena’s childhood dream

Kareena Kapoor from childhood cherished the dream of becoming an air-hostess. She had a great desire to fly higher and higher and go around the world but when the appropriate time came to convert her dream into reality, her father raised a big objection and Bebo’s career took a complete U-turn.

About Rani’s fitness, Satyajit said, “She does alternate day’s exercise which includes yoga and weight training and its mainly loose weight training, floor exercises and freehand exercises. She also works with dumbles and her working habits are divided into two schedules. She sweats it out for one and an half hour. She can’t do heavy weight because of her height so she only does loose weight training.”

Speaking about her diet, he said, “No oily food and basically one should have balance diet and each individual will have different balance diet as it depends upon a person’s DMRE and metabolism structure. Accordingly then we prepare balance diet, so for Rani also there is a separate balance diet which 45% carbohydrates, 40% protein and 15% fats and this balance diet includes no sugar and maida flour and oil just one tablespoon in a day and most important no sweets.”

In real, Rani’s hard work is showing as she has lost few kilos.

Asin’s aide missing, she is in legal hassle

Asin who has taken Bollywood by storm with the success of ‘Ghajini’ has been tapped in a legal hassle. A case has been filed against her by the mother of her missing assistant, S. Vadivu. She charges Asin of abusing his son, N. Muthu Kumar who was employed with Asin for four years. However, Asin has denied the charges against her.

A special police squad flew to Mumbai to investigate the matter and the star revealed that after he has gone missing, he called up her several times asking for huge sum of money.

'After the aide left my employment, he has called me several times asking for money up to Rs.15 lakh (Rs.1.5 million) to settle unpaid bills though I am in no way concerned with his problems. I have, however, offered to cooperate with the police personnel to find Kumar in Mumbai,' Asin said in a statement.

'While Asin's father Joseph claimed to have sacked my son after he joined the Mumbai underworld several days ago, Asin has been saying different things and now I suspect Kumar is being detained because he knows the family's dirty secrets,' Vadivu said.

'I am afraid that if I speak out, my son's life will be endangered,' she added.

However, Asin claimed all the accusations wrong.

Aamir ends war with Shahrukh

If the recent statement of Mr. Perfectionist is to be believed that we can draw the conclusion that the war of words between the two Khans of Bollywood has finally come to an end and they have joined hands. Aamir Khan who turned 44 this birthday sounds quite lenient towards his enemy. On a friendship note, Aamir wished Shahrukh a successful life ahead.

"I want to tell Shahrukh that I love him and respect him a lot and I wish that he leads a successful life and that all his films are hits," said Aamir. But Aamir again sounds diplomatic in his statement; on one hand, he wished SRK success while on the other, he said that he has stopped following success. "I want to follow excellence and not success anymore. If you follow excellence then success will come after you."

Aamir who indirectly claim to be number one has now changed his version, he said” I’m not interested in competing with anyone. I don’t play the number game nor do I want the crown for myself. I just like to do good work."

Akki pushes Lara into 70 ft deep underwater

It you think Lara deserves all the credits of doing dangerous dive in ‘Blue’ then you are totally wrong. The one who encourages Lara Dutta to take lesson on diving and put on her all the confidence to go underwater is none other than the stunt king, Akshay Kumar. “Well he was the one who recommended my name for Blue,” said Lara.

At first, Lara was not happy with the idea of diving 70ft with Sharks. But Akki has shown his full confidence on her and encourage her to take up the challenge. She reveals, “I got a call from Akshay who told me, ‘take a swimming lesson if you don’t like it then say no to the movie but take one swimming lesson and see how it goes.’ He has this favorite dialogue - Tu nahi toh kaun karega - and he knows that gets me every single time.”

Lara informs that after a three month training she got certified as a diver. “I must say that as an actress in the industry very few times you get anything that really challenges you in a role including something that is physically challenging and I am extremely lucky on that part.” She signs off.

Ranbir copies Shahrukh

Shahrukh Khan’s stammering dialect in his early flicks has lead him to name, fame and glory and now following his footstep is Ranbir Kapoor, the Kapoor lad is going to stumble in his upcoming film ‘Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahini’ to be directed by Rajkumar Santoshi.

Confirming the news, a source was quoted as saying, "Santoshi has made Ranbir stammer as he feels that this will get him sympathy from the other characters in the movie as well as the audiences."

Talking about the role in the film, the source said, "He essays the underdog and tries hard for everything. In time, his stammering fades out as he gets more confident."

In the film, Ranbir stars opposite beautiful Katrina Kaif.
