Sonam, Deepika see red over sharing cover page suggestion

Mumbai, March 23: They might have rubbished all speculations of a reported catfight and shooed off animosity claims with their refuting remarks at rift-suggesting media reports, but ask Sonam Kapoor and sultry beauty Deepika Padukone to come together for a magazine shoot and the two go green at the mere suggestion.

The two actresses, who have been at the loggerheads since they made their way to Bollywood, seem to be at it again. Ever since Deepika went to date Sonam’s saawariya Ranbir Kapoor, the two dainty beauties have been involved in a tussle of sorts.

And though the sassy babes have repeatedly denied all such reports, their latest act has once again brought their cold war under the arc lights. According to Spicezee sources, the two lissome actresses were offered to come together for the cover of Indian edition of fashion magazine Vogue.

Unwilling to share the space, the two ladies politely declined the offer. Besides being featured together the two ladies also had reservations about the theme of the photo shoot.

Buzz has it that the magazine was to show the duo engaged in a kind of mock cat-fight over a boy. Now that’s a theme that would have been too close to reality.

What’s more is that this isn`t the first opportunity that the two beauties have refused. In the past too, Sonam was offered a chance to host a segment at the Filmfare Awards, which she declined.

Looks like Sonam is having some tough time moving on.

‘Friends’ Abhay Deol and Sonam Kapoor pair up for ‘Ayesha’

Mumbai, March 18: After tasting the success of ‘Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!’ and ‘Dev D’, Abhay Deol has surely become the hot property of B-town! The Deol puttar received critical acclaim for his performance and according to the latest gossip he is getting quite an attention from his female co-actors, too.

Grapevine has it that both Abhay Deol and Sonam Kapoor are ‘friends’ and have been seen spending quality time together. As per a source, “Abhay`s birthday was on Sunday (March 15) but he held a bash only on Monday and that, too, for his non-filmi friends at a friend`s place. Sonam was the first to arrive and the last to leave in the wee hours of Tuesday. As there was no one from Bollywood, the duo were completely relaxed and did not mind being spotted together.”

It is believed that Sonam Kapoor invited Abhay Deol for ‘Delhi 6’ premiere at New York Their friendship takes a professional turn as well in ‘Ayesha’, a movie based on Jane Austen’s Emma.

Anil Kaporr is producing the classic, and it was Sonam who recommended Abhay’s name. She has been quite impressed by Abhay’s choice of films.

However, a source close to Abhay did not fail to maintain, “As they are doing a film together, they are simply meeting for ‘Ayesha’s’ script reading. There`s nothing more to it.”

It will be a wait and watch game whether Abhay and Sonam remain pals or let their friendship blossom into something deeper.

Sonam, Deepika’s cat-fight continues

They claim to be friends but they are not. Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone refuse to pose together for Vogue magazine. When they were approached to shoot together, they politely declined the offer and claimed for individual shoot.

A source tells all, "Deepika and Sonam haven't been shot together, and the magazine thinktank thought it's be a great idea to get the Saawariya and the Om Shanti Om girls in the same frame. Not just because they made their debuts at the same time, but also because they were of the same age, and are friends, as well as rivals.

The idea was to get the girls into a mock cat fight. They were asked to wear a shirt, denims and jacket and get into a fight over a boy's t-shirts. The visuals had to show them as two tom boyish girls fighting over a boy's clothes."

This is not the end, Sonam even refused to share the same platform with Deepika at the recently held Filmfare awards when she was asked to host with Deepika. Finally, Konkana joined Deepika.

However, when contacted Sonam denied the entire incident and said, "It's not true".

Sonam Kapoor starts blushing when Shah Rukh is around!

Mumbai, March 15: Pretty face Sonam Kapoor seems to be one of the biggest fans of superstar Shah Rukh Khan, for the actress has watched all his films. Sonam reportedly becomes very shy and starts blushing wherever Shah Rukh is around.

According to our source, “Sonam is completely in awe of SRK, and has watched all his films. She even remembers his introduction scene on a bike in ‘Deewana’. In fact, when she first saw that film and him singing ‘Koi Na Koi Chahiye…’, she fell out of her bed.

A few days back, Sonam was attending a party where SRK was also present. As the actor came to her and spoke to her, the actress got bowled over by his charms. “Sonam thought she was going to faint in sheer delight!" added the source.

In this special edition, Sonam speaks about some interesting facts of her life. She revealed small interesting incident of her childhood, her teenage days and what motivated her to choose film. She talked as how much she loves junk food and how much she had intake when she was young. Films run into her blood as she has seen acting from her childhood. She talks about her interest in Bollywood and how she bagged the two films ‘Saawariya’ and ‘Delhi 6’.

Mumbai, March 02: Actress Sonam Kapoor is certainly becoming a hit with several Bollywood directors approaching her for their upcoming ventures. But the lady also seems to have become the latest charm of big fashion houses and designers.

Reports reveal that Sonam has become the only B-town actress to wear an outfit specially designed for her by global fashion house.

Sonam recently looked like quite a fashion diva when she came to an award function wearing a specially-designed gown by Chanel. The actress said, "I just kept staring at the beautiful, basic but simple white gown they sent me. I think I`m the first Indian celebrity to be dressed by Chanel in Bollywood. I`m so excited. I felt like Cinderella before the ball. Never before have I been so excited about dressing up for an event."

According to our source, a lot of designers are comparing Sonam to Penelope Cruz. And the actress takes it as a huge compliment, and says that she wears what she’s comfortable in. Great going Sonam!

I'm just a good bathroom singer, Sonam Kapoor

Sonam Kapoor is the new budding star of Bollywood. She failed to spell magic in Saawariya but with Delhi 6 she has been able to make a place in the heart of the people. No sooner the promo of Delhi 6 hit the small screen, Sonam became the darling of all and everyone is going gaga over her and it became a must watch film. In the much awaited Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's film, Sonam is playing an aspiring singer. When she was asked how good she is as a singer, Sonam was quick to reply, "I love music and I'm passionate about it. But I'm just a good bathroom singer, I'm not at all a competent singer’.

Sonam stars opposite Abhishek Bachchan. Delhi 6 music has been scored by music maestro A.R Rehman and is getting good reviews. Ranbir is a blind friend, Sonam

Ranbir Kapoor is Sonam Kapoor's childhood friend. Though news of their brewing love relationship hit the gossip column many a times, they never cut off their friendship and always remained connected. On asking how much she gelled with Deepika, Sonam replied, "I didn't know Deepika too much. She started seeing Ranbir, who's one of my best friends. We started hanging out together in a group and that's when we started knowing each other."

eautiful Sonam Kapoor gets annoyed if you address her by her new nickname 'Kabootari' or 'Massakali'. She is happy that she is getting good response as the promo of Delhi 6 went on air but at the same time little upset as people started calling her by the new name after she was shown with a pigeon (named Massakali) on her head in a song composed by A R Rahman.

No sooner the song hit the small screen, people started teasing Sonam by that name and she felt little embarrassed ''Everywhere I go, people are calling me Massakali, Kabootari and all,'' complained the actress.

Delhi 6 is a Rakesh Omprakesh Mehra's film starring Abhishek Bachchan as the male lead. It is one of the biggest releases of 2009. It tells the story of American-born Indian, Roshan (Abhishek Bachchan) who brings his ailing grandmother back to India and something unwanted happened that has turned his quick trip into the longest journey of his life - a journey within.

Well, Sonam don't feel embarrassed, we tell you that when the film will hit the marquee on February 20th and box office will show promising collection, you will definitely love to be called by this new name.
