If Salman had blown his top over his lady Katrina Kaif’s growing proximity with Ranbir Kapoor during the shoot of ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghajab Kahani’ then wait till he hears this. Believe it or not, but industry is abuzz with reports that the taskmaster Anurag Basu, who is known for churning out steamy scenes in his films, is all set to shoot Katrina and Ranbir in a super-hot lovemaking sequence in his untitled venture.

Be it the steamy kisses in ‘Murder’ or the intimate scenes in ‘Metro’, Anurag Basu is known to stir passions of the audience with erotic shots in his films. Not to forget his latest ‘Kites’ that has stirred much controversy even before its release.

Confirming the news a source told a daily, “Anurag’s next untitled project starring Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif too will also have some steamy scenes.”

As for Kat’s no kissing deal, the actress might just give a waiver this time since she is quite keen to work with Basu. “Even though Kat has a no-kissing clause in her contract, there`s a chance that she might drop that one for this film," adds the source.

Salman Khan laughs as his bouncer misbehaves

Bollywood’s bad boy is back to doing what he often does best- making news for all the wrong reasons.
While that may not be news anymore to your eyes, what the ‘Veer’ brat of filmdom did on Tuesday is sure to shock Salman Khan’s fans.

The star’s attitude left everyone stunned when he actually encouraged his bouncers to misbehave with a lady reporter instead of stopping them.

A lady reporter posed questions to Salman, who was attending the ‘muhurat’ of a film in Mumbai. But the actor’s unruly bodyguards misbehaved with the reporter, who was just doing her job. However, even worse was Salman Khan, who wore a sarcastic smile and passed an insolent comment at the incident.

Eyewitnesses say that the lady, who was pushed aside in an undignified manner by Salman’s bodyguards, screamed after the showdown. “Don’t you have any brains,” the lady shouted. It was evidently followed by an abuse from his bouncer, instead of an apology.

But it didn’t stop there. Salman Khan turned, laughed sarcastically at the reporter and walked away in a cocky manner. He was also heard saying, “Have the abuses been recorded?”

The latest in the star’s list of scandalous behaviour is sure to open a new debate on how far the stars can go on the base of their so-called star power.

Last week, he was issued a notice by the Bombay High Court after a disabled person alleged he had misused her photograph to promote his film 'Veer'.

Salman Khan takes favours for his family!

Salman Khan is a family man or so it seems considering that the actor is signing one family sponsored project after the other. The actor, who is all set to be seen in brother Arbaaz Khan’s production ‘Dabang’, will next be seen working on brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri’s Hindi version of southern super hit ‘Bodyguard’.

The Malayalam film, which was originally to be made in Hindi by Boney Kapoor, will now be produced by Atul Agnihotri after Salman personally asked Boney to hand over the reins to his beloved brother-in-law.

Buzz has it that Boney had bought the rights to remake the southern super hit and had even laid out all plans to get the film on floors. But after Salman personally requested the producer to hand over the rights to Atul Agnihotri, Boney obliged the actor’s demand with keenness.

Talking about the incident, a source told a daily, “Boney did not hesitate to give up remaking ‘Bodyguard’. He loves Salman too much and considers the actor’s wish as his command.”

Confirming the news, Boney said, “It’s fine if Atul will make it with Siddique. Salman was keen that Atul should make it and I have no issues whatsoever. I have not done anything great. I was simply on the verge of buying the rights of ‘Bodyguard’. Salman is family to me. I love fulfilling all his wishes and will always continue to do so.”

As for Atul, he is much too pleased with Sallu ringing in favours for him. “I am quickly going to finalise the heroine and most of the things will be in place by end of next week. However, I am not aware that Boney too was interested in making the same film. Salman is very happy that I am producing it. Siddique will direct the film,” said Atul.

With Salman Khan’s ambitious project ‘Veer’ and Shah Rukh Khan’s crucial film ‘My Name Is Khan’ ready for release, grapevine has it that both stars are headed for a truce!

According to the latest Bollywood news, with the release of Salman’s period film ‘Veer’ just around the corner, the hunk of an actor is on a goodwill hunting as the star is indulging in garnering social niceties with his long time rival Shah Rukh Khan.

News has it that when Salman saw the rushes of SRK’s ‘My Name Is Khan’, the temperamental star called up Karan Johar and congratulated him.

Incidentally, during a recent awards function, SRK praised ‘Veer’ and said that it is one of the movies he is looking forward to watch in the year.

Talking to a news daily, a close source said, “Salman was the first to extend the olive branch by calling Karan after watching the promos of ‘My Name Is Khan’ and SRK returned it by praising ‘Veer’. They had both come face to face for the first time after the ‘3 Idiots’ premiere.”

Meanwhile, when enquired Karan Johar, the director confirmed the news and said, “Yes, Salman did call to say he loved the promos and the look of the film. I appreciate the feedback. It was very gracious of him. I have worked Salman in my first film and have a great amount of respect for him and his family.”

Salman Khan lambasts the makers of Veer

Hot-headed Salman Khan is fuming again! This time his ire is against the makers of ‘Veer’ – producer Vijay Galani and director Anil Sharma, who have refused to comply with his wishes.

The actor, who has also written the script of the film, wanted some changes in the final print but the makers simply refused to budge. The actor wanted to edit few scenes, which were redundant but producer Vijay Galani and director Anil Sharma did not budge and refused to make any changes in the final print.

When Salman saw the rough draft of the film, he found it unsatisfactory. He also had issues with ‘color gradient’ of few action sequences in the film.

Sources reveal that when the producer-director duo refused to make changes, Salman used harsh language and there was some heated exchange of words.

Earlier, Vipul Shah had done a similar mistake during the making of ‘London Dreams’. He had refused to edit the length of the film, in spite of Salman’s advice, as a result the film bombed. Salman doesn’t want a similar fate for his ‘Veer’.

I couldn`t take my eyes off Katrina Kaif: Zarine Khan

Debutante Zarine Khan doesn`t mind being compared to her ‘Veer’ co-star Salman Khan`s girlfriend Katrina Kaif and says that the actress is so beautiful that even she couldn`t take her eyes off.
"Being compared to Katrina Kaif is a huge compliment for me because I feel she is very beautiful. When I am compared to her, I feel overwhelmed. I have met her a couple of times and she is so beautiful that even I couldn`t take my eyes off her," Zarine told reporters.

"Being compared to her is always a delight. Personally speaking, when I see myself in the mirror, I find no similarities."

Zarine, who is playing female lead with Salman in ‘Veer’, says that she wanted to be a doctor and that acting happened to her by chance.

"I was always a very brilliant student, but not a nerd type. I wanted to be a doctor. But I couldn`t continue my studies due to a financial crisis and the responsibility of my whole family fell on my shoulders. Acting happened by chance. Now I can be everything - a doctor, pilot, everything," said Zarine.

"I was a struggling model and was looking for some kind of work to take care of my family. I was doing very small print ads now and then for saris to earn money to run my house. One day I was home surfing the net when I got a call from Mukta Arts. They called me on the sets of `Yuvvraaj`. There I met Salman.

"Salman is a huge actor and I am one of his great fans. I started talking to him like his fans would do. I had no clue that he was planning to take me in his film (`Veer`). Finally, when I asked for his autograph, he said, `No sweetheart you will sign autograph for the world`. Later I got to know that he has selected me for this film," she added.

Though Salman chose Zarine, she had to pass an audition test.

"They had auditioned lots of girls because the female lead has two different looks in the movie - one is Indian and other Western. Whoever they auditioned looked good in either of the looks, not both. Some had language problem too. They tried me and I was lucky enough to fit into both the characters and they signed me," said Zarine.

‘Veer’ is directed by Anil Sharma and produced by Vijay Dalani and Sunil A Lulla. The makers kept Zarine`s name secret for a long time.

"Even I got strict instructions to keep it a secret from friends and family. I was allowed to give some clue to my parents," she said.

Asked why they were hiding her, she said: "I don`t know. I was too junior to question them why they are asking me to do so. I just did what they asked me to do."

Set in colonial India, the film encapsulates a period when Britons enslaved India with their divide and rule policy and kings and nawabs fell for it, except for the Pindaris who preferred death to dishonour and fought till their last breath. Salman plays one of the bravest and strongest Pindari soldiers.

"It`s a love story set in the backdrop of a war for independence. I play a Rajasthani princess," said Zarine.

Salman is known as an angry man, but Zarine got to know the caring and understanding side of his personality.

"I had heard that he is a very tough guy, he hardly speaks. But he spoke to me very nicely... may be because I met him first as a fan. In due course I realised whatever has been written about Salman is not true. He is so sweet. He has a heart of gold. He is a very genuine man.

"While shooting sometimes I couldn`t understand some parts of my role. I used to be scared that Salman would get angry. But he used to patiently explain how to go about it," said Zarine.

She has already bagged a few offers but she hasn`t signed any as she is waiting for the release of ‘Veer’ Jan 22

Veer is of a different genre

Salman Khan says period dramas usually give the impression that people in past eras never used to laugh, but promises that his new movie ‘Veer’ will have its light moments.
"We haven`t followed the regular format. This has emotion, drama and comedy unlike other period films, which always casts an impression that no one used to laugh in those days," Salman told reporters in an interview.

"The language has undergone a huge change. The dialogues are in contemporary language but would show that people of that time used to speak and behave like this," he added.

"Veer", slated to release Jan 22, is a story of bravery, treachery and love. The story revolves around the 18th century Pindaris who preferred death to dishonour and fought to their last breath to save their land. Salman plays the lead role.

Throwing light on how his co-star Zarine Khan joined the cast, Salman said: "The film is of a different genre, so we needed a young fresh look. More than that we needed somebody with a yesteryear look. How our grandmothers and great grandmothers used to look, we needed someone like them.

"Just two weeks were left to start the film and we didn`t have anyone who would fit the role. We were searching left, right and centre and met her by coincidence on the set of Subhash Ghai`s `Yuvvraaj`."

Salman denies any resemblance between Zarine and his girlfriend Katrina Kaif.

"Except being fair and having a sharp nose, I don`t see any similarity between them. Give god that credit for not making two people identical," said Salman.

The film`s story has been written by Salman himself and while scripting it he was scared whether his father Salim Khan, a noted writer, would approve. "I showed the story to my father and the biggest fear was what is he going to say. But he said it`s a good story."

When asked why he chose to make a period film now, he said, "I had written the story 20 years ago but at that time it wasn`t possible to make the film. I thought now is the right time to make it, so I did."

This is Salman`s second film as a scriptwriter. His first was the 1990 movie ‘Baghi’ and there is a common thread running through both the scripts - the father-son relationship.

" `Baghi` showed a good relationship between a father and son, `Veer` does that too. I believe that father and son should be the best of friends. Today, my father and me chat, drink and chill out together.

"But if I cross my line, I run away. I stay outdoor for two months. That`s the chemistry they should share. The respect should also be there," said Salman who claims that he could be a good father.

"I am not sure how good I would be as a husband, but I believe I would be a good father. One has to get married, I will also get married but haven`t decided when."

The actor has been in the industry for more than two decades and has played a variety of roles, worked in various genres and sported different looks.

Asked if there was anything particular he looked forward to as an actor, he said, "No yaar. I do whatever comes my way."

Katrina will not marry Salman!

“On the personal front, Katrina will not marry Salman and if she does, then it will not last long. They both are completely different people. Salman is a Number 9 (27th Dec.1965) ruled by Mars (No.9), No.8 (Saturn – Capricorn) and No.6 (Venus). They share Number 9 in common but nothing else. Nos.7 and 9 do not gel well with difference of opinion being the main negative aspect. They both are different people with no similar ideologies but can be friends for sure. In nutshell, there is no great compatibility between the two and Katrina should avoid taking Salman too seriously. Rather, Katrina should not even think of marriage till July 2011” informs Bhavikk, celebrity astro numerologist.

In Priyadarshan’s De Dana Dan where she is paired opposite Akshay Kumar , she may not have much to do and this film may not do any good to her but will not do any harm as well. Towards 2010 in ‘Rajniti’ where is rumored to have played the role of Sonia Gandhi, she will be getting mixed reviews for her performance but the film shall do well at the ticket window” adds Bhavikk.

Katrina has been suggested an Emerald and a Pearl set in silver for goodness by the astrologer.

Salman plays cameo in Katrina’s film

When Shahrukh Khan has closed his door for cameo, Salman Khan has still kept the role open. He is doing a cameo in Rajkumar Santoshi’s much awaited flick ‘Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahini’ and what’s making the idea more interesting is that the film stars Salman’s beau Katrina Kaif in the female lead role opposite Ranbir Kapoor.

It is learnt that Salman will appear towards the end of the film. Confirming the news, Ramesh Taurani of Tips said, “Yes, Salman is indeed there in the film, but only as a cameo”.

Ranbir Kapoor’s role is said to be inspired from his late grandfather Raj Kapoor in 'Mera Naam Joker'. He will play a depressed lover-boy who falls in love with Katrina.

Salman Khan had earlier worked with Rajkumar Santoshi in the comedy 'Andaaz Apna Apna', which also starred Aamir Khan.

Sallu's presence in ‘Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahini’ will definitely heighten up the anticipation of the cine-goers.

Bhansali cheated Salman

Actor Salman Khan and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali had a long standing association from the days of ‘Khamoshi’. Whenever the director knocks Salman’s door, he always used to be there to welcome him with open heart. But when Bhansali signed Hrithik Roshan for Hollywood remake ‘Prestige’ which was Salman’s idea, he felt cheated and destined never to work with Bhansali in future.

Salman poured the idea of remaking the Hollywood flick ‘Prestige’ to Bhansali but when he came to know that Bhansali has planned the film with Hrithik, he felt embittered.

Adds the source, "Sallu had agreed to be a part of Saawariya because of his old association (Khamoshi, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam) with Bhansali. Moreover, he had even taken time out to promote the film as the release date was clashing with Om Shanti Om that had Shahrukh Khan.

Saawariya was a launch pad for Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor, both newbies. Yet Sallu did whatever Bhansali told him for the promotion of the film."

It is learnt that Salman now feels cheated. As the source puts it, "He feels he did a huge favor to Bhansali during Saawariya and this was not at all expected from him."

Salman ends up his relationship

Bollywood hunk Salman Khan who achieved stardom with 'Maine Pyar Kiya' directed by Sooraj Barjatya is no more with him. He ends up his relationship with the Rajshri Production which was very much associated with Salman’s success. He has always been their first choice and fortunately most of their films in which Salman starred boomed at the box office. But now Sallu is no more interested to work with them as Barjatya being stereotype in their script and he does not find place.

When Sooraj approached Salman for his forthcoming film, Sallu miya asked for the story narration. Sooraj read out the story but was not able to impress the actor with the role. Salman felt that the script demand actor younger in age. At the end, when Sooraj revealed that he wanted him to play the character role and not the lead, Salman felt humiliated and turned down Barjatya saying that it was not his cup of tea.

Finally the long standing relationship of Barjatya’s and Salman came to an awful end. Apart from ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’, Salman acted in Rajshri production’s ‘Hum Aapke Hain Kaun’, ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’.

Salman Khan plays Mozart in ‘London Dreams’

Mumbai, March 10: Looks like the only thing original about Salman Khan is his raw rage and bad boy antics! The actor who has acted in a series of desi dud remakes of Hollywood films like ‘God Tussi Great Ho’ which was a rip off from ‘Bruce Almighty’, will now be seen in remake of yet another Hollywood classic.

The actor’s forthcoming film ‘London Dreams’, that has been kept under wraps for long with neither the actors nor the directors willing to divulge about the film, is touted to be the remake of Hollywood flick ‘Amadeus’.

Grapevine has it that the film that stars Salman, Ajay and Asin in lead roles in an-out-an- out copy of ‘Amadeus’. Based on the lives of 2 musicians, Wolfang Amadeus Mozart and Antonio Salieri, the Hollywood hit is set against the 18th century.

What’s interesting is Salman plays the role of music maestro Mozart while Ajay essays the role of Salieri. The film begins with Ajay narrating the story of their friendship that lived long enough to be turned into bitter rivalry.

Adding the Indian touch, Vipul has changed the background of the film with Salman and Ajay hailing from Punjab. They later go to London to realise their dreams.

Well, Salman playing Mozart is sure to make the music prodigy turn in his grave.

Salman rubs Bishnois the wrong way yet again!

Jaipur, March 10: It seems Salman Khan`s brush with the Bishnoi community is never going to end. Salman, who had invited their criticism after supposedly killing a black chinkara a few years back, has rubbed the community the wrong way yet again. But the actor is not directly involved in infuriating them this time round.

The latest incident involves the crew of the Salman- starrer, ‘Veer’ against whom local Bishnoi community members have filed an FIR, alleging that they had cut four-five khejri trees for the film`s shooting at Gajner, a small in Kolayat district, 50kms from Bikaner.

The reason behind the Bishnois discontent is the fact that they are a fiercely pro-environment community and they regard the khejri tree as sacred and cutting it is illegal. Apparently, some khejri trees were cut for use on the sets of the film by the crew.

It seems that mere presence of Salman in the area had alerted the community. Prior to this, the shooting of ‘Veer’ had led to a wall collapse at Amber Fort.

Salman didn’t look at Shahrukh

Amrita Arora’s sangeet ceremony has brought the two Khans under the same roof for the first time after their ugly spat during Katrina Kaif’s last birthday. But to everyone’s surprise, they behaved like two strangers. Neither they exchanged any hi and hello nor they have seen at one another’s face.

No one actually expected Shahrukh Khan and Gauri at the sangeet as it was reported earlier that they would not attend any wedding function of Amrita. But when the duo stepped in at the midnight, they raised many eyebrows.

Though Salman and Shahrukh were at the same place, they avoided any sort of interaction. SRK was busy with his pals and Salman in his own world. They did not exchanged greetings.

"Shah Rukh left after half an hour, while Gauri stayed back with her pals Kaajal Anand, Bhavna Pandey and Seema Khan," said the eyewitness.

According to a source, "Salman was to attend only Amu's wedding, as he was shooting in Jaipur. But Malaika persuaded him to stay back for the sangeet”.

Their activities showed that the hostility between them hasn't died down yet. At the middle of the party, Salman left in an auto rickshaw while Katrina stayed back.

Salman outburst at reporters

Popularly known as the bad boy of Bollywood, Salman Khan again proved the unsuitable tag appropriate for him. The actor left Amrita Arora’s sangeet bash in an auto rickshaw out of anger when media caught him and questioned him about patching up with Shahrukh Khan who was also present at the same venue.

Last year during Katrina’s birthday bash, Salman and Shahrukh had a big fight over several issues and ever since they were no longer in talking terms. Salman who was in full masti mood during Amrita’s sangeet in the wake of the moment took off his shirt. Everything was going fine until the reporters put up the question regarding reviving the old friendship with Shahrukh.

After getting furious with the reporters, Salman left in an auto rickshaw who had arrived in a Mercedes.

Katrina to gift Sallu a puppy

Salman Khan is in mourning these days as his dog Myson died recently due to severe heart attack. Due to his death not only Salman Khan but his other puppy Myjan who grew up with Myson is also suffering in pain. On looking at Salman's depressed mood, his ladylove Katrina Kaif has decided to gift him another Alsatian pup. Salman received the news of Myson’s death while shooting for Veer in Jaipur. His news of death came as a shock for Salman as he was very much attached to his pets.

Salman, who is currently shooting for his home production Veer in Jaipur, is concerned about his other pet and has been reportedly advised to bring up another pup to get Myjan out of his depression. "Myjan has gone into depression after the death of Myson. The two dogs grew up together and they were always together. Myjan was the bully and he always had a fight to pick with Myson. But after the death, he has completely gone silent. He is not even eating properly," says a source.

Dr Sangeeta Vengsarkar who treated Myson even suggested Salman to bring up another puppy to take out Myian from depression. She said, "When your pet dies, there's a huge void in your life. Same happens with a dog if he loses his partner. In all such cases, it's best to allow the pet sufficient time to grieve and introduce him to a new member of the family. That is the best remedy for both the guardian and the other pet”.

To make Sallu happy, Kat has decided to gift Salman a puppy.

Katrina Will not act with Salman Khan

Katrina Kaif will leave the opportunity to act with Salman Khan. The film in question is Ajay Devgan next home production to be directed by Rohit Shetty, the man behind the comedies Golmaal, Sunday and Golmaal Returns. Katrina has cited dates problem for not accepting the offer. If Kat accepts the offer then she will get to act alongside beau Salman. But after the fallout of Yuvraaj and most importantly due to dates problem, she is bound to say no.

Her spokesperson clarifies, "it is unfortunate but Katrina will not be able to do the project, she's tied up with her other commitments and dates were a big hassle. Hence she will not be doing Rohit Shetty's film". Ajay will also share screen space with Salman in his untitled film. It is known that both developed a good relationship on the set of London Dreams and it was during this time that Ajay Devgan had expressed his wish to Salman Khan to cast Katrina in his next home production.

Salman and Ajay were last seen together in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. In that flick, they did not get much scope to share the same screen but came to know each other better and developed a good rapport during London Dreams.

SRK, Salman to fight on small screen again

King Khan and the so called bad boy of Bollywood Salman Khan will again compete with each other. Both are coming back to television with their individual programs. If SRK is leaving no stone unturned to launch his shows like First Ladies on NDTV Good Times, Knights and Angels and Ghar Ki Baat Hai on NDTV Imagine then Sallu Miya is also gearing up for the second season of Dus Ka Dum.

Knights and Angels is a reality show and King Khan will be the judge. The show will judge the right candidate who could take forward his IPL team the Kolkata Knighter Riders to a new level and induce in them the spirit to perform better. Ghar Ki Baat Hai will be a traditional sit-com, a story of a day to day life of Yagnik family and their neighbors.

Both Khans have taken their battle front from big to small screen. It's a story of few months when Salman hit at Shahrukh at Katrina’s birthday bash, insulting him in public for showing attitude and not appearing in his show Dus Ka Dum. Salman also insulted Shahrukh for the failure of the game show Kya Aap Panchvi Paas Se Tez Hain? After the serious spat, Shahrukh and Salman are no longer in talking terms.

Salman and Karina are again in Friendship terms

Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor were not in friendly terms after Sallu had a heated exchange of words with her former boyfriend Shahid Kapoor at their 'Rockstar' tour. Now that Bebo is no longer associated with Shahid, she has decided not to drag the animosity with Salman forward and buried the hatchet now itself and Sallu also preferred to dump enmity and shake hand with her.  

Salman and Kareena are having a gala time while shooting for Main Aur Mrs Khanna. A source quoted as saying, "When they started shooting for 'Main Aur Mrs Khanna', Kareena and Salman only behaved like professionals. Anybody who saw them share icy vibes would never have been able to tell that the two were thick friends once upon a time. Even as their on-screen chemistry sizzled in 'Main Aur Mrs Khanna', they refused to interact off-screen. In fact, things were so bad that director Prem Soni would have to discuss scenes separately with both the stars. But during the Panchgani schedule, Kareena and Salman hit it off instantly."

Salman no longer wish to carry hatred and animosity in his heart and so he has patched up with the Bachchans and now with Kareena and hope he get along well with Shahrukh also.
