Milenge Milenge promotion

Plans to bring Kareena Kapoor and ex-beau Shahid Kapoor together to promote their film ‘Milenge Milenge’ have been called off. While Shahid had no problems with the idea, producer Boney Kapoor feels the publicity would be doubled if the stars do the promotions individually.

Asked if he`d be willing to promote the film jointly with Kareena, Shahid said: "Yes, I`ll do everything I can to promote it. Of course, I`ll do everything in my power to see the film gets properly released. It`s my film."

However, Boney Kapoor felt otherwise.

"We`re getting Shahid and Kareena to do separate promotional activities. That way we give them space to be comfortable with the situation and also we get twice the publicity for `Milenge Milenge` that we would if the pair promoted the film jointly," the producer said.

"Milenge Milenge" is special because the former couple will be seen together after Imtiaz Ali`s lovable "Jab We Met" in 2007. Kareena is currently dating actor Saif Ali Khan.

Shahid has not only decided to go all-out for "Milenge Milenge", he has also been taking interest in the release date to ensure that it hits screens at a time when it is likely to get the best audience.

He met the producer and they mutually agreed to postpone the release from April to later in the year.

"We met and took a joint decision. Boney-ji was co-operative. Otherwise I`d have had three releases -`Milenge Milenge`, `Paathshala` and `Badmaash Company` - in one month," said Shahid.

Boney said he plans to release the film, which has been directed by Satish Kaushik, in the last week of June or the first week of July.

"`Milenge Milenge` would be Shahid`s last release until his father`s film `Mausam`. Kareena and he look gorgeous together," he said.

In fact Shahid enthusiasm about "Milenge Milenge" is seconded by Satish Kaushik. Last week, they met on the steps of the highrise apartment building they share.

Said Kaushik: "Though we live in the same building, Shahid and I never meet! I know him from the time he was a child. On Saturday night we bumped into each other in our highrise compound after a party. We spoke for nearly an hour about `Milenge Milenge`.

"Shahid told me the project is very dear to him and that he would go all out to promote the film."

Shahid and Priyanka are lovers

Now it is clear that Shahid Kapur and Priyanka Chopra are in love. The duo has stopped playing the hide and seek game and they about to make their love official. In the presence of several guests at Karim Morani's 50th birthday party (held at his Juhu bungalow), Shahid and Priyanka stick together throughout and at the end of the party, Shahid rode in Priyanka’s white Mercedes while his car followed them.

A guest at the party quips, "Priyanka walked in with a friend a bit after midnight while Shahid came in after 1 am. But during the entire time Priyanka was there, Shahid kept calling and talking to her throughout till he reached. After which, they both circulated a bit and quickly withdrew to a secluded corner where they remained, talking in hushed tones, almost till the time they had to leave around 5 am. When it was time for them to leave, Priyanka, Shahid and Priyanka's friend left together in Priyanka's white Mercedes (MH-02 BG 6345) while Shahid's driver followed behind with his silver Mercedes (MH-02 AQ 4244). While Priyanka is quite happy to show the world that she's in love with Shahid, apparently, he's not in a hurry to do it. He was hiding his face when the reporters photos were trying to take pictures."

With every passing day, the love of the duo is blossoming. Their neighbor informed that very often they go out for a walk, holding hand in hand at the mid-night when the ground is empty.

Shahid visits an ENT surgeon

Apart from Shahid, Priyanka’s kissing scene, ‘Kaminay’ is in news for another interesting reason. Shahid Kapur is playing a dual character in Vishal Bharadwaj’s ‘Kaminay’ where he needs to stammer in one role and in other part, he needs to lisp. To understand the two speech defects, Shahid visited an ENT Surgeon, Dr Prabodh Karnik. Vishal Bharadwaj wanted his actor to get into the skin of the character and so he took Shahid to a surgeon.

Confirming the story, Dr Karnik told, "I know Vishal Bharadwaj. He wanted to know why people stammer and how we evaluate and treat them. We gave them all the information that they were looking for."

Shahid confirmed this and said, "Yes, I met Dr Karnik. Vishal is a filmmaker who likes to stick as close as possible to reality. Meeting Dr Karnik helped us a lot. It was a good learning experience. My object was just to make it as believable as possible."

Speaking about his role, Shahid said, "Kaminey has been a very challenging experience. I wouldn't say I have a better understanding of speech impaired people that would take some time I think."

Shahid Kapur goes naked

Young and charming Shahid Kapur goes bare bodied while shooting for Vishal Bharadwaj’s ‘Kaminay’ and girls could not stop cheering for the actor. They whistled, screamed on looking Shahid Kapur riding a horse without shirt.

Shahid is young and so he could easily mingle with the youngsters. ''Shahid is happy about it. He feels honored to be college crowds favourite. Also his zara hatke role in ‘Kaminay’ is sure to give him a top billing among other actors. ‘Kaminay’ will change Shahid's entire image. It is going to put him being a hot contender amongst the others. Also working with Vishal Bharadwaj has been amazing,'' said the source.

A friend of Shahid said, ''He wants to be that way! Also Shahid feels that playing characters older than your real age can fall flat on screen at times and he does not want to land up doing anything stupid.''

In ‘Kaminay’, Shahid will be in a ‘never seen before’ role and for that he has undergone a massive makeover.

Shahid is happy that offers are coming his way slowly and steadily. In ‘Kaminay’, he pairs opposite hot Priyanka Chopra.

Bebo throws party on Shahid’s birthday

On 25th February, Shahid Kapur turned 27 and as reported he celebrated the event with his close friends and relatives but debarred of his ex-beau Kareena Kapoor. Interestingly, the same evening when Shahid threw a homely party to his friends, Kareena Kapoor partied with Saif Ali Khan at his residence in Bandra.

A source adds, "When Kareena heard about Shahid's party at Sajid Nadiadwala's party on Tuesday night, she immediately decided to host her own at Saif's Bandra home though hers was a gathering of select friends like designer Aki Narula, her make-up artiste, Mallika Bhatt, designer Shabina Khan (who was also invited to Shahid's party), Amrita Arora, Malaika Arora Khan, Arbaaz Khan and a few others."

Says a source, "Shahid's bash was at a lounge bar of a suburban five-star hotel. The guestlist had Vidya Balan, Amrita Rao and Priyanka Chopra all of whom he has been romantically linked to! Meanwhile, ex-girlfriend Kareena Kapoor was not invited. Others included Farah Khan and Shirish Kunder, his Kaminey director Vishal Bhardwaj, Sajid and Wardha Nadiadwala, Ken Ghosh, Ahmed Khan and wife Shaira, designer Shabina Khan and trainer Abbas."

Shahid celebrated his D-day with dad Pankaj and step-mom Supriya Kapur, their children Rohan and Sanaa, Shahid's brother Ishaan (Shahid's mother Neelima Azim and Rajesh Khattar's son) his close friend from Bangalore, Shriram.

A source close to Kareena says, "What rubbish! Kareena didn't throw any party. She was shooting double shifts for Rensil D' Silva's next and some patchwork for Kambakht Ishq. Maybe designer Akki Narula threw some party but Bebo wasn't involved in it."

Priyanka accepts Shahid’s proposal

If sources are to be believed a new online love story is brewing between Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapur. The duo is romancing on internet, created facebook account and with nicknames, they are addressing one another. Shahid and Priyanka are so much addicted to the site that whenever they get time, they flirts exchanging funny messages. In fact, they now communicate more via net than through phone. But things took a reverse turn when their account got leak in media. Shahid who used to refer Priyanka with the name Sir Pranks suggested her to change her name to Lady Paradox as it is disclosed to the world and Priyanka accepted his proposal and changed her name to a new one.

Both are acting in Vishal Bharadwaj's Kaminay and are using internet to know about the reactions of the audience to their upcoming release. "They not only write on each other's walls, but also send personal emails that are inaccessible to others."

Interestingly, Priyanka now does not have ex-beau Harman Baweja’s name on her friend’s list and she too disappeared from Harman’s friends list.

I would love to fall in love again, Shahid

There are so many new offerings ahead that Bollywood hot and charming Shahid Kapur doesn’t feel like looking back to those woeful days. Rather he wanted to move on and make new relationship as he still hasn’t lost faith in love and willingly to fall in love again. Has the past experience left a bitter taste? “Life throws googlies at you. You catch some, you miss some! But, I haven’t lost faith in love. I am like any normal guy. I would love to fall in love again. But, as of now, I am single,” Shahid sets the record straight and adds quickly, “I would rather have people talk about my work.”

After being voted the youth icon, Shahid is flying high, he said, “I’m all set to make up for my long absence. Being voted as a youth icon is both an honor and very encouraging too. The year has begun on a good note and I don’t want to look back at all.”

Though his last flick Kismet Konnection with Vidya Balan failed to spell magic at the box office, he is not hopeless but eagerly looking forward to his next release Kaminay with Priyanka Chopra. On his alleged link-up with his co-stars, Shahid said, “Well, what can I say? It’s very sweet of people to keep linking me up with somebody or the other. I think they just hate to see me single.”

His upcoming ventures are Vishal Bharadwaj’s Kaminey, Ken Ghosh’s dance film, Yash Chopra’s untitled film with Rani, Ahmed Khan’s Paathshala and finally his dad Pankaj Kapoor’s directorial venture.

Shahid to celebrate birthday with family

Bollywood actor Shahid Kapur is going to celebrate his birthday on 25th February and the guy is already making the preparation for the bash. It is known that the party will be a low-key affair and only close friends and relatives will be present. Currently Shahid is shooting in Jodhpur with Priyanka for Kaminay but he will be on the spot before the occasion. A friend of Shahid said, “Shahid is pretty excited about the party and has been planning it for months.”

Shahid’s house is currently under renovation. But he is making sure that it gets completed before the party as he will arrange the bash at his home. He has already informed his family and friends. Shahid will celebrate his D-day with papa Pankaj Kapoor, stepmom Supriya Kapoor, their children Rohan and Sana, Shahid’s brother Ishaan (Neelima Azim and Rajesh Kattar’s son), his close friend from Bangalore Shriram, designer Sabina Khan, Ken Ghosh, Shahid’s trainer Abbas and a few other from the film industry.

Shahid compares Kareena with a Cow

Shahid Kapur has starred with Kareena Kapoor in couple of films and delivered blockbuster like Jab We Met. Ever since both broke up, filmmakers also did not have guts to approach them but now that Shahid Kapur has made an open declaration about his desire to act with Bebo again, chances seemed to grow up again.

"I would like to work with her again. I feel that as an actor if my producer wants me to romance with a cow or a buffalo also, I'll do it because that's my job," Shahid said. After five years of long love relationship, Kareena threw Shahid out her life and formed a new relationship with Saif Ali Khan. Till date their relationship is going steady and both will be seen in Agent Vinod.

Though Shahid has only few films in his bag, Kareena has ample films lined up for release. Shahid has expressed his desire to act with Bebo again but what Bebo holds in her heart is yet to be unearthed.
