Shahrukh had a special appearance in Dulha Mil Gaya but in the mid-way, he left the film out of irritation when producer Vivek Vaswani started promoting the film on his name in which SRK featured for only few scenes.

http://bollywood.celebden.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/08/Darsheel%20Safary-preview.jpg

Mumbai, March 02: Just eleven yr old Darsheel Safary is already giving sleepless nights to industry bigwigs. He might be young by age but his demands precede those of Bollywood titans, as the ‘Taare Zameen Par’ sensation is now quoting outrageous prices for film projects. Buzz has it that the young actor has hiked his price by an astounding margin and is now asking for a whooping Rs 1.25 crore for his upcoming film.

Ever since his debut flick ‘Taare Zameen Par’ went to become a Box Office blockbuster, Darsheel has been making hay. The young actor has not only been flooded with an umpteen number of endorsements, but also film projects.

If these endorsements were not enough to keep him busy, the young actor was also seen gracing functions in the capacity of a chief guest and walking down the ramp for designers.

However, all this seems to be passé now as the actor is hitting headlines for quoting astounding sum of amount. According to the latest buzz, Safary’s business manager Shobha Sant asked producer Ajay Monga to burn a deep hole of Rs 1.25 cr in his pocket if he wanted Safari to be a part of his project.

Confirming the news, Monga told a news daily, “I am keen that Darsheel should do my film. But, I am making a small budget film worth Rs 1.5 crore. Paying Darsheel Rs 1.25 crore makes my film an unfeasible proposition. Aaj kal to bade bade stars ki picture nahin chalti hai”.

Looks like this might of a child is spelling competition for the big daddies of Bollywood.

Agartala, March 02: Most of Tripura was in party mode the whole night until Monday morning, bursting crackers and dancing on the streets to celebrate Sourabhee Debbarma being crowned "Indian Idol" in Mumbai. The young singer from Tripura became the first woman "Indian Idol" in the fourth year of the live TV competition.

"I can`t believe that I become the Indian Idol. I am grateful to all my fans and those who voted for me to reach the top position," Sourabhee, 22, told reporters over telephone from Mumbai.

"It feels like I`m still at the rehearsals. I thank all of you for making a girl the `Indian Idol` and shall try to continue to entertain all of you."

Accompanied by her parents and a galaxy of actors including Katrina Kaif, John Abraham and Sonali Bendre, Sourabhee received a contract award worth Rs10 million and a TATA Winger car besides other awards at the show`s finale hosted by Sony Entertainment channel Sunday night.

Sourabhee, who had completed a Bachelors in Business Administration (BBA), won the fourth edition of "Indian Idol", pipping Torsha Sarkar of West Bengal and Kapil Thapa of Dehradun in the final round.

"A platform like `Indian Idol` to show off her talent, getting a standing ovation from renowned personalities like Javed Akhtar, Anu Malik, Kailash Kher and John Abraham is a lifetime experience for both Sourabhee and us," said Sunil Debbarmam, her father.

Said Pradyot Bikram Kishore Manikya, who belongs to Tripura`s erstwhile royal family and is one of the main sponsors of Sourabhee: "What Shillong`s Amit Paul missed by a whisker in the last season of the `Indian Idol` show, Sourabhee made it with the overwhelming support from the music crazy people of the northeast."

Amit Paul had lost to Prashanta Tamang, from Darjeeling in West bengal, in the final last year.

"Sourabhee`s success proves beyond doubt that there is no dearth of talent in the northeast and that all these bright youngsters need a platform or an opening to prove their capability and ability," Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar told reporters.

"With Sourabhee`s performance, now the world would know better about the land of the legendary music maestro Sachin Dev Burman and Rahul Dev Burman," he added.

"If the rest of the world thinks that the northeastern region is all about violence and bloodshed, they must be proved wrong through this kind of musical feat," said Tripura Cultural Affairs Minister Anil Sarkar.

"She had no formal initiation into music under a teacher but she loved music from childhood and is gifted with a good voice. I did not allow her to indulge in her favourite pastime of singing during her schooldays though," said Sourabhee`s father, who works for the Tripura government.

As soon as Sourabhee was declared the new "Indian Idol", crackers were burst in Tripura capital Agartala. Residents poured on to the streets and continued dancing till the morning to celebrate the victory.

Irresistible Rekha applies vermillion; Big B walks away!

Mumbai, March 02: There seems to be a divine mystery running between Rekha and the Bachchan clan. The electrifying moment of the two meeting on the Filmfare Awards was a memorable one, and thought provoking, too. The awards ceremony saw Bollywood titans and sirens sharing intimate kisses and hugs. While a recuperating Shah Rukh Khan sat beside Abhishek Bachchan, his beauty of a wife Aishwarya sat beside him, flanked on the other side by charismatic Amitabh.

It so happened that Rekha, the golden guest of all Bollywood ceremonies, spotted Shah Rukh, and strolled to him to enquire about his health. And just like that, the neighbouring Bachchan clan came close enough for a necessary meeting. While Rekha pecked Abhishek, who had risen up in her honour, Aishwarya was given a hug, too.

By this time all eyes were riveted on the electrifying meeting, as the next in line for the ‘kiss or hug’ was none other than Big B.

The chemistry seemed to smoulder hotter between the legendary couple of yore with every step of Rekha. However, Amitabh could not bear such proximity with Rekha anymore, and walked off while Aishwarya was hugging the golden lady.

What made the ever-suave Big B unable to bear Rekha’s proximity? Was it her magnetic persona, her unyielding feelings for Amitabh or that prominent red vermillion on her head?

The red parting in Rekha’s locks screamed for attention. But for whom? Do we even need to mention!

Mumbai, March 02: Model-turned-actor Arjun Rampal, who won the best supporting actor at the 54th Idea Filmfare Awards, has apologised to Amitabh Bachchan for not mentioning his name in his winning speech, the megastar says on his blog.

"Later in the night (after the ceremony) he (Arjun) sends me a SMS saying how grateful he was to have me as an inspiration in his life and how sorry he was that he could not name me in his speech because he was overwhelmed by the moment? I am deeply touched," Amitabh posted on his blog www.bigb.bigadda.com Monday morning from his Prateeksha residence.

Arjun bagged the black lady Saturday for his performance as an out-of-work musician in Abhishek Kapoor`s "Rock On!!" and forgot to thank Amitabh for being an "inspiration" in his life on the stage.

"He has really roughed it out in the industry and laboured hard. I advise him never ever to forget the moment that brought on that emotion - that shall and should be his motivation for the rest of his career, I SMSed back," wrote Big B.

Mumbai, March 02: Shah Rukh Khan has been approached to host what is being touted as the boldest show in the history of Indian television. Star Plus is reportedly after SRK to convince him to take the centrestage on Indian television yet again with its high profile show ‘The Moment of Truth’.

According to reports, Shah Rukh is all set to take on the helm of the Indian version of an American game show by the same name. The contestants of this show have to answer a series of 21 increasingly personal and embarrassing questions to receive big cash rewards and since SRK is known for his upfront and candid ways, the actor turned out to be an obvious choice for it.

Tele gurus suggest that the show is famous for its bold treatment at least in its original format and if the show retains that format then it is definitely going to create a stir among the Indian audiences.

Our source says, "SRK has been approached and Star is hopeful that he will be giving his nod to the show”.
