Bebo miffed with Saif

Very often Kareena Kapoor turns her face away from Saif Ali Khan in anger. She again picked up a fight with Saif Ali Khan when he was taking too much time to come out of his van and resume shooting. Kareena Kapoor became irritated with Saif's delay and she was seen talking to him in an angry mood.

The incident took place during the shooting of Dharma Productions film, directed by Rensil D'Silva in which Saif and Bebo are playing terrorists. Due to excessive fog, they had to cancel their morning shoot and as they went for an outing to get some fresh air at the India Gate, fans halted for picnic made a mess over there to get a glimpse of their favorite stars. The duo at first did not come out of the van to avoid interacting with fans but finally Bebo stepped out. Looking at her, one could easily make out that something was wrong between the lovebirds. She did not attend her fans.

But Saif did not respond badly. He stepped out, waved back and smiled at the crowd. When the two sat in the car, Kareena was seen talking to Saif angrily.

Katrina cried on her birthday

Katrina Kaif had gone though spoilt birthday not only at the peak of her career due to Salman-Shahrukh's ugly spat but even had a blemish birthday experience when she stepped into the world of glitz and glamour. In the Farhan Akhtar's chat show, Oye! It's Friday, Kat revealed what she had gone through when she celebrated her first birthday on the set of Boom.

''We had just completed shooting for the film and it was my birthday. Since I was a rank newcomer, I didn't really have many friends or acquaintances. I was alone in the cabin and there was absolutely no one around. I would have cried most that day, I was feeling so lonely'', recollects Katrina.

She relates her panic to the zodiac sign that she carries, "Well, we are like that only. We can cry at any moment", says Katrina.

Crying is a part and parcel of Katrina's life, she quips, ''I cry when I am happy or sad. In fact I also cry when I have nothing to cry."

Though Kat is very charming and lively, the most surprising fact of her life is that she was never asked for a date, ''I don't know why but it is indeed a fact. In fact even my friends from college too never asked me out.''

Sanjay Dutt irks a middle-aged lady

After Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta, it's now Sanjay Dutt’s turn to face the irritation of his neighbor for making lots of noise during his first anniversary bash. A middle-aged lady residing on the first floor of Sanjay's building turned furious when media person gathered inside the building premises to get some quotation from Sanjay on this special day.

Sanjay and Manyata came to know about the lady getting disturbed only when they came out to see off Abhishek Bachchan and Amar Singh. Sanjay overheard the lady asking the media persons to leave the building as she is getting disturbed. On knowing that, he immediately walked up to the lady and asked sorry. On Sanjay’s apology, the lady cooled down.

An onlooker said, "The lady looked very upset but when she saw Sanjay, she immediately calmed down. Things definitely got better after Sanjay spoke to her and politely explained the situation to her."

Commenting on the incident, Dharam Oberoi, CEO of Sanjay Dutt Productions, said, "The lady is a lawyer. She was getting disturbed due to all the noise outside the building. Everything was eventually sorted out."

The party has been attended by Sanjay’s close friends.

Shahrukh speaks on naming his dog Aamir

In the recent past, Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan have fought on various issues. First they clash on number game then they took up Aamir naming his dog as Shahrukh another reason of brawl. Surprisingly, the doggy story does not end here, Shahrukh Khan further stretched the issue by expressing his feeling to name his dog as Aamir and to which his wife Gauri turned furious.

SRK gushed, "Gauri gets upset when I crack jokes about naming my dog Aamir. She thinks why should I bring myself down by doing or saying such things? I understand that she doesn't want me to lose my dignity, but sometimes I think it is absolutely necessary as people ask for it."

Shahrukh made an elaboration, "Aamir had said it was a joke that his dog was named after me... and I said if it was a matter of [a] sense of humor, then my joke would have been that I also wanted to name my pets after Aamir, but my pets vehemently refused. My wife said people don't understand your jokes, so please refrain from doing so... though I felt it was quite funny but I didn't say it at that time. Nobody said anything about stooping low, etc. Stooping low would be a height joke."

On number game, SRK replied, "I will confront Aamir and ask him why he said such a thing. I accept a lot of things, but I think this is not funny. When I say I am number one, I definitely don't mean it in arrogance. I say it with a sense of humor and a sense of humility. But I guess it will take a lot for Aamir to understand that."

Harman's bed scene in 'Victory' has Yuvraj Singh amused

Mumbai, After watching "Victory", especially the scene where Harman Baweja, playing a Test cricketer, and his girlfriend Amrita Rao sleep on the same bed but with a pillow safely dividing them, cricketer Yuvraj Singh cried out, "This can't be my story."Confirming the incident, the film's leading man Harman said, "It's true when Yuvraj saw the pillow between me and Amrita in bed he said, 'This can't be my film'. He was also quite kicked by the sequence where I sing 'Money Money' with all those girls. He enjoyed the high-flying image of the cricketer shown in the film."

The Indian cricket team watched Ajitpal Mangat's film "Victory" in Sri Lanka where they are playing a one-day series.

Outwardly they seemed quite kicked by the way the cricketing world had been portrayed. Sachin Tendulkar seemed to think Harman handled the bat and the 'bawl' (the drama) very well.

"Sachin did seem impressed by my abilities. But maybe he was just being polite," Harman told IANS. "Not one person has disliked the film."

And whom did the cricket team like the best?

"You mean, besides me? They loved Harbhajan Sangh. They feel Bhaji is really working hard on his acting and will soon become a full-fledged actor," says Harman.

School kids beat filmmakers to make movie on Mumbai 26/11

Filmmakers made a beeline to register titles to make movies on the Mumbai terror attacks last year, but a group of 20 school children has already shot a film titled "MH (Muslim, Hindu) 26/11 - Mumbai Under Attack!". It will be premiered here Tuesday.

Made by children aged between 11-14, the film highlights how the images of the attacks shown by media affected the children's mind.

The project has been funded and supported by the Ryan Foundation under the aegis of Ryan International Group of Institutions, said a press release.

Grace Pinto, managing director of Ryan foundation, conceptualised the docu-drama after school children started approaching their teachers to ask why the terrorists were killing innocent people.

Such questions raised Pinto's concerns about how the images of the terror attack were affecting the minds of the children, so they decided to make a film under their project Children Against Violence.

The 20 school children underwent a short filmmaking course carried by Utkarsh Marwah, the project director for the Ryan Foundation for 20 days. Besides directing the film, they even wrote the script, auditioned actors and edited it.

My Miss India tag has been a deterrent for me: Gul Panag

New Delhi, Gul Panag says she always wanted to do meaty roles in films, but her Miss India crown often proved to be a stumbling block as many filmmakers thought beauty queens could only sing and dance on screen.

"My Miss India tag has often been a deterrent for me since I did not take a conventional route to Bollywood and the kind of roles I've done or wish to do are not just about dancing around trees," Gul told IANS on phone from Mumbai.

"A lot of times, because of my beauty pageant win, filmmakers thought that I won't be able to carry off an intense role and will be only suitable for singing and dancing. So it was not easy for me," the actress said.

Gul began her tryst with Bollywood with offbeat films like "Dhoop" (2003) and "Jurm" (2005), but it was her role as Zeenat in Nagesh Kukunoor's critically acclaimed 2006 film "Dor" that established her as a talented actress.

Her performance in thriller "Manorama Six Feet Under" the following year also earned her rave reviews.

Gul's next project is "Straight - Ek Tedhi Medhi Love Story", where she acts opposite Vinay Pathak. The film is being directed by Parvathi Balagopalan, who had earlier made "Pyaar Ka Superhit Formula".

Talking about her unusually titled comedy, Gul said: "My role is that of a caricature artist in London. Since it's not easy for her to live out of her earnings, she joins Vinay Pathak's restaurant as a cashier. It's then that Vinay's life starts to transform."

So does she believe that comedy is the flavour of the season?

"I feel slapstick comedy is the flavour of the season, not seasoned comedy. We don't see comedies like 'Rajnigandha' or 'Golmaal' any more," the actress said.

Another feather in Gul's hat was the Tata Sky commercial with superstar Aamir Khan.

"Working with Aamir was simply outstanding. He is an actor par excellence. He is renowned not only for his huge commercial status but also for being the actor he is," she said.

This year will see Gul working with Ram Gopal Varma for the first time in "Rann", which also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Paresh Rawal, Ritiesh Deshmukh and Rajat Kapoor.

"In 'Rann' I play Nandita, who represents the voice of youth," Gul said, refusing to divulge anything more about the movie.

Along with "Rann", Gul has her hands full with Mukta Arts' "Hello Darling" and Rajat Kapoor's "Ek Rectangular Love Story".

Gul rubbishes rumours about her wanting to join politics.

"I don't know where these inaccurate statements come into the picture from? It's true that I am politically quite aware, which I feel each one of us should be because we are a part of the country and of the voting system. But I have no plans of joining the field," she said.
